Thakgalo Thibela became South Africa’s youngest female medical doctor at just 21. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and began her career at Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg. Thibela fast-tracked her education, completing high school early and entering medical school at a young age, later joining the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her achievement has been widely celebrated, highlighting her talent, determination, and commitment to healthcare.
