Long feel good story, and yeah, I am bragging on my old man. If that bothers you, please scroll on by... My husband used to work with a carpenter in his late 60s. "John" is retired now, and his wife is in hospice. Money is really tight for them so any time the hubs has side work he calls John and asks him if he wants to assist-even when he doesn't really need the help. Not willing to come hat in hand, John always brings us something from a hunting trip...venison, duck, etc. He knows how much I love to cook! Apparently, for the past year John hasn't been able to enjoy his favorite hobby, riding his Harley, because he needs a new back tire. After work today, I watched my hubs quietly look up that back tire online, buy it and ship it to John's house. I said "well how is he going to afford to have it mounted" and he replied "I am going to bring the bike lift up there and put it on myself!" I know I am an emotional wreck right now, but this made me teary. Pay it forward, please! You never know what the smallest gift of your time can mean to someone else! Please use my thread to share your feel good story here! Lord knows, we all could use some JOY! Love you guys.🩷
