A quick message to all drivers: please, please, please, be aware of where you park. Dropped kerbs are essential for us #wheelchair users, both attended and unattended. Yesterday, I tried to cross the road at 3 dropped kerbs, all were blocked by cars. I had to manually wheel a quarter of a mile to find a usable one, and let me tell you, my shoulders ached like hell!. So please, be conscious of your parking spot, and think of us #disabled folks. Thanks!

This has now been upgraded to a FULL refund and a complimentary night in the future, after I escalated the complaint 👀

As in a complimentary night in any travelodge, not just the one I had the issue at

@benn_elisbenn This was the only hotel nearby (ie walking or decent public transport distance) at all to the venue I needed to be at, for the event that was the entire reason I was in Glasgow

@InvincibleWheel They should have found you an accessible room at a near by hotel at their expense in addition.

I’m getting £36 back as a “goodwill gesture” for this. For a room that cost almost £70 🙄

@InvincibleWheel @TravelodgeUK I booked an accessible room for my brother over Xmas - he arrived Xmas eve at about 4pm to find no accessible room. He was unable to shower. When I complained to @Travel_Lodge I was told that he’d used the room so only a partial refund. Very poor - won’t use again

When you book an accessible room OVER 2 MONTHS in advance, and then on check in day your @TravelodgeUK call to say there are no accessible rooms left and can they move you to a standard room/do you actually need the accessible room 🙄
