Where dictatorship is a fact, revolution is a right.

Hey Ghalibaf, You are dead wrong. The 1622 “expulsion” of the Portuguese from Hormuz was not achieved by Iran alone; it was a joint operation with the British East India Company. The Safavid Shah Abbas needed the English naval power to dislodge the Portuguese. What you are invoking as a “triumph” over Europeans was only possible because Iran invited another European power in to do it. The British didn’t leave after 1622 either. They deepened their presence. They gained trading rights and commercial footholds throughout the Gulf as direct payment for their help. British dominance in the Persian Gulf then expanded through the 18th and 19th centuries, with Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and the Trucial States all becoming British protectorates. Iran itself was carved up by the Anglo-Russian Convention of 1907 into British and Russian spheres of influence. British troops occupied Iranian territory during both World Wars as well. Your sense of history, just like your politics, is built on propaganda and lies, Ghalibaf. @mb_ghalibaf

Without the Strait, the Islamic regime has no cards. Trump should (1) Re-open the Strait with overwhelming force (2) Re-start Operation Epic Fury (3) Keep the naval blockade in place (4) Remove from power Mojtaba, Vahidi, Zolghadr, et al. (5) Use drone strikes against IRGC & Basij thugs (6) Ask Iranians to take to the streets and overthrow the regime.
