I love how all the Florida birders seem to agree that Smooth and Groove Billed Ani just look like little non-avian theropods. Everyone always calls them dinosaurs in the FL birding groups. Though personally I think the Greater Roadrunner gives off the most "dino" vibes of birds.

@SceneKidSanta @melodybirds_ Im actually so glad you said this cause I have been toying the idea of selling my EF lens I have with an adapter for my R7. I really would like to make the jump to the RF platform and the 200-800mm just for versatility alone.

@melodybirds_ I use a canon r7 with the rf 200-800mm lens and absolutely love it! it struggles a bit in low light but the reach is absolutely fantastic and I love the versatility. eventually I want to pick up the rf 100-500 as well, but it's not cheap lol

@coughdropsh There's a tree in a local reservoir I have named 'The Cormorant Tree.' Because during their season everytime I go there, its got like two dozen Cormorants just chilling lol

@CameronMArcher I think this is the best part of nature photos. A lot of us are not professionals taking photos for NatGeo or anything. Sometimes the natural setting is just that much nicer. Beautiful shot!

I could use fancy AI to remove those leaves covering the face of this Northern Yellow Warbler, or I could celebrate the fact that the eye perfectly aligned through the gap. Today, I choose peace.
