Today I walked the 5.8 miles to work. From Withington, through Moss Side & Hulme- the bit Sir 'Jim Rat' has never visited [& never will]. The Claremont pub is still serving, and the area's alright, if a little run down. The final shot is of 'Jim's World', of bribery & money.

@jonathanstea Anyone with the slightest trace of critical thinking would recognize that this will be a cautionary tale for mankind and unfortunately many of those lacking those fundamentals have been elevated to decision making positions.

I don’t understand the kids who knowingly come to elite programs who have stacked talent at the position you play just to transfer out after not immediately starting. Wish him the best, but if you’re hell bent on playing early probably should just go to a mid tier program where that is guaranteed.

@JoJoFromJerz @60Minutes The irony is that they don’t know how to respond to actually being required to have ethical and balanced reporting. I mean only listening to hardened criminals without checking out the other side of the story is basically spreading propaganda.

The upcoming celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence is a time to take stock and see if the U.S. is living up to the revolutionary ideals the country was founded upon.

Wanna know how dumb Americans are? Half of them found out this week that Portugal is in Europe, and not part of Latin America. And instead of just, ya know, looking at a map, they're actually *fighting* this information.

BREAKING: Vanity Fair author Chris Whipple just revealed stunning details from his conversations with Susie Wiles, Trump’s chief of staff. Here’s what she told him: - Wiles said she has read the Epstein documents and acknowledged that Trump’s name is in them. - Wiles said she urged Trump NOT to pardon the most violent January 6 rioters. He ignored her advice. - She admitted Trump is looking for retribution...“when there’s an opportunity, he will go for it.” - She tried to convince Trump to stop “score-settling” against political enemies after 90 days in office. That effort failed because Trump’s desire for retribution never stopped. - Wiles directly contradicted Trump’s claims about Bill Clinton, stating there is “no evidence” Clinton ever visited Jeffrey Epstein’s private island. - She described Trump as having “an alcoholic’s personality.” Wiles said her ability to work with him comes from growing up with an alcoholic father, the sportscaster Pat Summerall. - On Vice President JD Vance, Wiles said he has “been a conspiracy theorist for a decade,” and that his conversion from Trump critic to loyalist was political, driven by his Senate ambitions rather than principle. - She described Elon Musk as “an avowed ketamine user,” “an odd, odd duck,” whose actions were often not “rational” and left her “aghast.” - She called budget director Russell T. Vought a “right-wing absolute zealot.” - Wiles defended USAID, saying that “anyone who has paid attention to government knows they do very good work.” - She said Attorney General Pam Bondi “completely whiffed” the handling of the Epstein files, explaining: “First she gave binders full of nothingness. Then she claimed the witness list or client list was on her desk. There is no client list — and it sure as hell wasn’t on her desk.” - She said the administration needed to “look harder” at deportations to avoid mistakes. - Referring to two mothers who were arrested and deported with their children after voluntarily attending routine immigration meetings, Wiles said: “I can’t understand how you make that mistake — but somebody did.” - She tried unsuccessfully to get Trump to delay major tariffs, citing a “huge disagreement” among his advisers. - Wiles summed up Trump’s governing mindset this way: He operates with a belief that there is nothing he can’t do. Nothing. Zero. Nothing.

@jimmyfpe @HorsemenPod Sure. ND plays USC and Navy every season to honour promises they made 80-100 years ago. They also often schedule 1-2 non power 5 schools (who benefit greatly from a financial standpoint) as is the custom throughout D1.

@HorsemenPod Miami has played either Florida A&M or Bethune Cookman each season for generations. Yes, easy game, but helps HBCUs that appreciate the exposure and money. Now do ND.

@Iowa_Recruiting I don't think that they think they're better thane everyone but certainly better than Alabama this year. They've also spent the last month being told that they were better than Bama and Miami so there's that.

Second week in a row (Navy last week and Pitt this week), Notre Dame catches a break where a team isn’t going to do everything it takes to win a game to instead stay healthy for their remaining conf games. Wonder if cmte will downgrade ND for this? (Oh wait, who am I kidding, of course they won’t!)

@Irishunited But are there anecdotes to back up your claims? The more anecdotes you can spend time collecting, the stronger the quality of evidence and the more likelihood of revealing truth and the less likelihood of promoting harm and pseudoscience. 😝
