7 years ago, my cousin bought Butcher Box’s $25 Bacon for Life and $25 Ground Beef for Life promos. He estimates he’s gotten $1000+ in free product conservatively. He encouraged us to buy it too but we didn’t so he reminds us periodically. He’s a mathematician and business analyst and said recently in a group chat: “I am for sure a special line item in their internal reporting. Me and like 20 other people eating into their margins.” He’s the kind of guy who will ride it until he dies or they declare bankruptcy. Absolute legend 😂

Remember folks… no matter how many tough guys actors like Javier portray, 99% of them were the weird little gay theater kids that we all made fun of growing up. It’s wild that our society elevates these people that quite literally lie for a living. For a historical example, in ancient Rome, actors (they called them histriones or scaenici) were grouped socially and legally with prostitutes as part of the infames, which was a category of people marked by disgrace or infamy, alongside gladiators, pimps, and others in “shameful” professions.
