Joint mid-career mentoring awardee Tal Pupko’s research spans the fields of molecular evolution, bioinformatics and pathogenomics. Within his lab he has been very successful in training interdisciplinary scientists.

@regev_ran Very curious to know how the taste evolves over time - guess I'll have to try doing it! thanks...

@IronicAlgo I usually taste it after the mashing and after the cooling, before fermentation. Then I taste during fermentation, when checking gravity, and when bottling. Then during bottle carbonation and I continue tasting until the batch is over. Pretty much all the time.

It is ready. Can you smell the hops?

@regev_ran There's no point in tasting before fermentation, right? you follow the recipe and hope it compiles?

@IronicAlgo Fermentation starts Saturday 25/4 and ends 2/5. Bottling for two weeks makes it Saturday 16/4 the first "official date". I guess a week earlier I will open the first bottle for checking.

@regev_ran Cool... how long until we see how it comes out?

@IronicAlgo No. Ale. I don't have 8 degrees for continues 3 weeks.

Checking the counterflow cooling system. After few problems now it is working. In the video only the wort side is shown, of course only tested with water (and iodine)

@PeterSommerlad @corecpp Amazing initiative! might also like to help the effort and learn from your experience - especially where most libraries use C idioms (e.g. interrupt handlers...)
