This is what happens when you start trusting your youth players and start building the team around them. Not some 36-year-old guy bought in an accelerated auction with one of the worst captaincy records in the IPL. You could have let him play as a player, but what did you see in him to make him a captain of the third most successful franchise? What an unreal downfall just after winning the title 2 years ago!

@peamceout Kkr and Csk suffer due to the auction.Ruturaj and Rahane are not at fault as they didnt ask to be captains.The quality of squads is so poor they have no other Indian option who commands a place in the XI for all the matches

@sathyashrii Its less about confusion but more about societal mindset. A child who likes Languages/Social Sciences is repeatedly told there is no future after BA and needs to look at STEM or worst case Economics for a future how is any kid supposed to be certain.

@nadig_cardio Best Cardiology training program in India is Jayadeva Institute and Aiims/pgi all of which offer DM. As long as these institutes dont shift towards DrNb how can a cardiologist say which is better.The point to be made is training needs to be standardized across all pathways.

I second that. (Clarification - I’m MD, DM (not DNB), but I teach and examine DNB students). And this is my honest take (Having seen both systems closely) Even in super-specialties like cardiology, DNB often offers: • More structured learning • More hands-on exposure (centre-dependent) • More approachable training environments And importantly , no mandatory 2–3 year bond like many DM/MCh programs. The examination system is another big plus: • More transparent • Less dependent on the discretion of a single HOD • Greater objectivity with OSCE-based assessment DNB trainees also tend to be better prepared for exams , the FAAT pattern plays a big role here. From a practical standpoint: Many DNB programs are in private / corporate centres → • Better access to advanced imaging (nuclear scans, high-end modalities like ivus imaging , rota in cardiology ) • Exposure to contemporary practice And something often ignored communication & patient management skills In many private setups, these are far superior. I’ve witnessed instances in some government hospitals (not generalising, but not uncommon) where patients are spoken to in a way that’s frankly unacceptable( calling them ಬೇ.. ರ್ಸಿ, ಬೊ..ಮ..ನೇ)and what not) . Bottom line: 👉 A high-volume DNB program in a good private setup can be far superior to a DM from a low-volume centre. Thsi is not a generalisation No DNB can match teaching from stalwarts in the field and variety of cases that one may get in a Govt setup , but each had its own drawbacks Personal experience and opinion. #MedTwitter #Cardiotwitter

@thecliche_guy Also have to remember prior to 2010 DNB admissions were given by nepotism without any entrance and the market now has substandard alumni of DNB. It might take time to change perception. Also the confusion of Diploma vis a vis Diplomate of National Board is a permanent handicap

I’ll never really understand the craze around MD/MS (at least MD). DNB offers a far better work–life balance, along with stronger hands-on exposure in medical branches, and access to better diagnostic equipment for managing cases. Still underrated, somehow. #medtwitter #neetpg

@thecliche_guy Dnb is always better but only for medical branches without any interventions.Again coming to cardio,med gastro,IR govt/trust dnbs are better. But this perception stays since Aiims/pgi gives md/dm degrees. The day they prefer to give dnb/Drnb this might also change

In a major public health move, the TG govt has declared cancer a notifiable disease to build a robust state-wide surveillance system and generate accurate data on incidence, prevalence, mortality, screening, early detection, treatment planning and rehabilitation needs. What it means: • All diagnosed cancer cases must now be reported within 1 month • Rule applies to government, private, corporate, AYUSH hospitals, clinics, hospices • Even pathology & radiology labs, insurance companies, NGOs, births & deaths registry are covered • Every facility must maintain a designated cancer register • MNJ Institute of Oncology will act as the Centre of Excellence • Data will be shared with ICMR’s National Cancer Registry • Govt says patient privacy will be protected

@TheNaveena “Cancer” is not a single disease like HIV or detected by single test like TB. It extends on a spectrum from Cancer in situ to Stage4. Low grade tumors are detected after removal. Attempts have been made but without significant Health expenditure this task is going to incomplete
