We welcomed an award-winning Capstone author to the library yesterday! Keka Novales, originally from Guatemala, created the 8-book series, Hola Lola! The protagonist, Lola, lives in Texas, but her beloved Abuelita from Guatemala keeps her rooted to wonderful family traditions.

It was a week full of research in the JMS library! 8th grade science dug into human drivers of climate change, 8th grade RLA examined shifts in technology, and 7th RLA researched inspiring change makers. The focus was reading to learn, using reliable resources, and giving credit!

Our last @KinkeadeECS 🦘 CIC mtg. included celebrating the HUGE growth 📈 of students in RLA and Math and a special tour of some of the existing and future grand spaces of the campus 👩‍🔬 🧑‍🔬 ! Seeing so many places for sts to learn through STEM was truly incredible!
