@IsaacSin12 @LeRobotHF @Ryan_Resolution @huggingface did you try it on several different SO-101? I implemented this auto calib a while back but tuning for all configs was too difficult. it was not reliable enough to ship the feature :/ Maybe you found a better way to increase reliability

Auto-calibration @LeRobotHF update v1 had a ~30% failure rate from Feetech servos stalling and restarting. Also got feedback it was moving too fast and are damaging servos. Fixed both. Now works reliably on leader + follower arms and mounted on the XLeRobot

We just integrated the @norma_core_dev ElRobot 7+1 DoF arm with @LeRobotHF Now you can teleoperate, collect training data, and deploy VLAs on a 7+1 DoF arm that costs a fraction of anything else on the market why ElRobot? → 7+1 DoF = human arm like dexterity → redundant joints = better IK and VR teleportation stability → fully open-source (STEP, STL, URDF all included) → build it yourself for~220 usd @Ryan_Resolution #LeRobot #OpenSource

We automated @LeRobotHF calibration for so101. Tired of watching people burn hours on setup before they even touch teleportation, so we built a script that does it for you. Part of our bigger mission is to make Physical AI as easy to get started with as possible. @Ryan_Resolution and I would be open sourcing our platform soon. Stay tuned.

@Ryan_Resolution @LeRobotHF @IsaacSin12 Auto-calibration is a genuine unlock for data collection. Half the friction in building consistent manipulation training sets is per-setup drift — each user's hardware is subtly different. Solve calibration at the platform level and diverse trajectories become way more tractable.
