progress update 🍾 - we hacked the firmware of a closed-source robot. -collected 1,000+ datasets in 2 weeks. -hit 90% task success rate on autonomous object picking underwater. nobody said building in deeptech was normal.

50+ builders showed up at @fdotinc SF lab this weekend for the Physical AI Hack World Tour. Midcentury was proud to sponsor. 12 teams trained robotic arms to flip bottles, set tables, and move chess pieces, each with 40 to 50 video demonstrations and 2 to 5 hours of training time. SF Physical AI Hackathon is a wrap. Thank you to everyone who showed up to build something real. The demos were genuinely impressive. A lot of teams trained multiple models to handle multiple tasks, and almost every team had a working demo by the end. I am at a hackathon organized by @makermodsai @Ryan_Resolution in Fort Mason by @fdotinc . People build robots in 48 hours and they actually work, this is crazy. It was impossible just a very short time ago.
