@howie_hua take 2 off of 88 and add it to 98 = 100. Then add on the leftover 86 to equal 186.

A4: As a STEM preservice teacher, I know that being a Math teacher as a woman will be key representation for my students. Creating opportunities for all students to engage in content outside of assumed gender norms is necessary, and can open doors to new career options. #ElonEd

A3: As a preservice teacher, I worry that what I'm learning in my education courses won't prevent me from failing. I'm sure this isn't the first time laws have made teachers question their agency, so in-service teachers could provide strategies to work with such changes. #ElonEd

A1: With my limited knowledge of freedom dreaming, schools should actively talk about race and racism, and what these topics look like in the education system. There is a need for teachers to be continuously educated in these areas, but without a reliance on BIPOC. #ElonEd

A2: The legal/illegal and governmental law aspect of teaching is what feels the most out of touch/unfocused on students for me. I think there would be a correlation between teacher turnover and legislation that undermines and questions the professionalism of teachers. #ElonEd

Feldman's Grading for Equity explores how new grading systems across a school "reduces the cognitive load on students to keep track of multiple and often contradictory approaches to grading". In your school, did all of your teachers have the same grading systems? #ElonEd

@howie_hua I know that 15*4=60, so 15*8=120, and as it's 150 not 15, add a 0 onto 120. Therefore equals 1200

What are some challenges that teachers face when trying to build community through technology? One that I’ve discovered through my research is a lack of equitable resources for all students and teachers. #ElonEd

Using TalkAbroad for my French language credit at Elon was extremely beneficial to create a community, especially when studying online due to covid. Building connections whilst learning online and being so isolated really kept me motivated and focused. #ElonEd

From personal experience, the potential positives outweigh the potential negatives when it comes to using technology in the classroom. This includes building online communities for students, teachers, administration, and other individuals invested in education. #ElonEd

Reading @joecfeldman Grading for Equity and the reference of Quine's 1978 "web of belief" really resonated with me. The progressive ideas we've covered in our Educational Assessment has caused my web to expand and for personal reassessment. #ElonEd

I have enjoyed the transition from reading articles & textbooks, to hearing from current teachers incorporating new assessment practices. Today @mr_jeff_stewart & @BILudwig zoomed in, who are both working more progressive models into their district requirements. #ElonEd

@shaTIRED I have loved watching this series. I've learnt so much about how my reactions are rooted in a place of privilege and it's important to have this information on social media

Don’t tell me that reducing class size won’t help student learning. Tell me you don’t want to pay for it. Tell me you don’t have the space. Tell me you don’t have the teachers. But don’t gaslight me. There’s a reason private schools cap class size. Every teacher knows it.

A4: cold calling and forcing students to work at the board. There are ways to build a collaborative learning environment that doesn’t leave students feeling uncomfortable or anxiety riddled. #ElonEd
