Today, May 21st, marks one year since Sarah Lynn Milgrim z”l and Yaron Lischinsky z”l were murdered. 365 days since two bright young souls, devoted to Israel, the Jewish people, and building bridges between communities, were taken from us far too soon.
Our Embassy and extended Embassy family are still grieving. Although our formal year of mourning has come to an end, we still feel the pain and horror as if it still were the night of May 21st, 2025.
We hope Sarah is remembered for her dedication to bringing communities closer to Israel, her compassion, her kindness, and the way she brought people together with sincerity and warmth. We hope Yaron is remembered for his delicate way of interacting with people from all walks of life, his dedication to educating others about Israel, his intellect, and his deep love for the State of Israel.
May their memories continue to be and forever be a blessing. May we merit to continue honoring them and their work. May our Embassy family know no more pain.
May the Almighty comfort us, together with their families, among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
We ask that you remember our friends and colleagues, and never allow their deaths to be in vain or forgotten.
