Dear High Rep., these are the facts: Since Hezbollah began its attacks unprovoked on March 2nd, it has indiscriminately fired roughly 6,500 missiles, rockets and drones at Israeli communities and citizens. The IDF action yesterday in Lebanon was a precise strike, based on intelligence, aimed at dozens of terror targets: Hezbollah command centers manned by terrorists, weapons depots and launch sites. The vast majority of the casualties were Hezbollah terrorists. No other military in the world is able to strike so precisely with minimal civilian casualties. Dear High Rep., this action was far more precise than in any other war you’re familiar with. Your call to extend the ceasefire to Lebanon is exactly the Iranian terror regime’s position. It makes Lebanon not just de-facto under Iranian occupation. It makes Lebanon de-jure Iranian territory. The US already made it clear that Lebanon is not part of the deal. You claimed that Hezbollah “agreed to disarm”. When did that happen??? The opposite is true. Time and again Hezbollah declared they won’t. You claim the EU “supports Lebanon’s efforts to disarm Hezbollah”. Unfortunately, despite its commitment to do so in the November 2024 ceasefire - the Lebanese government hadn’t done that, as we can all clearly see today. Ridiculously enough, Hezbollah ministers still serve in the Lebanese government!

Hezbollah dragged Lebanon into the war, but Israel’s right to defend itself does not justify inflicting such massive destruction. Israeli strikes killed hundreds last night, making it hard to argue that such heavy-handed actions fall within self-defence. Israeli actions are putting the U.S.-Iran ceasefire under severe strain. The Iran truce should extend to Lebanon. Hezbollah must disarm. The EU supports Lebanon’s efforts to disarm Hezbollah.

Israeli lives matter too. Unfortunately, for far too many people, they simply don’t. Diplomacy is an essential tool, but it only works when all parties to an agreement uphold their commitments. The Government of Lebanon has not fulfilled its obligations under UN Security Council Resolution 1701 from 2006, nor under the 2024 ceasefire agreement. Beyond failing to meet these commitments, it also lied to international leaders, claiming that it had done so in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah’s indiscriminate attacks on Israeli civilians in recent weeks, including the firing of thousands of rockets and the drone assaults, have exposed this lie by the Lebanese government. Israel cannot accept a situation in which a neighboring state allows a terrorist organization to launch attacks on its civilians from its territory. No country would tolerate such a reality, and yet some expect Israelis to accept exactly that. Israeli lives matter too. Unfortunately, for far too many people, they simply don’t.

Selective outrage, yet again. Those who stay silent when Hezbollah fires on Israeli civilians — and failed to show even a word of solidarity — are in no position to lecture Israel now. While you rush to condemn us, you never found the time to condemn Hezbollah’s unprovoked attacks Since March 2. For over a month, Hezbollah has subjected 1 million Israeli citizens — Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze and Bahá'ís — in northern Israel to constant daily drone and missile attacks deliberately aimed at civilians. Israel targets Hezbollah terrorists, and not civilians, while Hezbollah fires at Israeli civilians. Applying universal values selectively is a moral failure.
Hadja Lahbib@hadjalahbib

Today’s brutal attacks by 🇮🇱 on Beirut 🇱🇧, which have left more than 100 dead - with the toll still rising - and over 700 wounded, are an outrage. Targeting civilians is a grave violation of humanity and international law. De-escalation must begin now. This war must stop.

Lebanon’s president and prime minister have no shame in attacking Israel for doing what they should have done: striking Hezbollah. After thousands of attacks on Israel from their territory, they offer no apology - and rather come with demands. They did not disarm Hezbollah. They did not and do not prevent it from firing on Israel. They lied when they claimed they had demilitarized the area up to the Litani. Now we must do it instead of them. Hezbollah ministers still serve in the Lebanese government, and the Iranian ambassador remains in Beirut, openly defying their own decisions. It is time to start acting against Hezbollah. In deeds, not words. And if you are incapable of doing so - at least do not get in the way.

Most people cannot truly grasp our reality 🇮🇱. Most countries would not survive it. And yet, Israel is criticized for trying to stop attacks whose sole purpose is to murder civilians and erase the country from existence. Today marks 15 years since the Iron Dome’s first interception, tens of thousands of rockets have been intercepted since then. @MaarivOnline: "Unbelievable: Tens of thousands of interceptions in 15 years have transformed a nation’s reality. This system has become a national symbol and reshaped Israel’s defense doctrine—from the skies to the sea. Iron Dome marks its 15th anniversary, with tens of thousands of successful interceptions."

A U.S. court has confirmed the Palestinian Authority’s responsibility for terror. Not alleged. Confirmed. And yet, the very same Palestinian Authority continues, even today, to pay salaries and rewards to terrorists, whether active or released. This Pay for Slay policy must end. Terror isn’t a profession. Terror shouldn’t be funded. Terror must never be rewarded. Yet, there Palestinian Authority continues to do so.

Historic ruling: U.S. appeals court confirms $656M verdict against the PLO & Palestinian Authority's responsibility for terror. A major step in holding the Palestinian authority accountable for its long-lasting terror support - financially and legally. apnews.com/article/plo-la…

It is difficult to ignore the double standard. When terror groups turn schools into military compounds, the world rushes to condemn Israel. But when schools in Israel are struck, silence prevails. During the war in Gaza, Hamas repeatedly used schools as sites for terrorist activity. When Israel was forced to operate against these locations, it faced harsh international criticism, even though these were no longer educational institutions, but active terror hubs. Now, according to @GLZRadio, @efitriger, since the beginning of the war with Iran, 128 educational institutions in Israel have been damaged, including the elementary school I once attended. The most recent school was hit last night in Tel Aviv. And yet, there has been no international condemnation, not a single statement affirming that schools should never be targets. It is difficult to ignore the double standard.

Enough with the PR stunts, @MSF. Your "blockade" claims are a deliberate deception. Numerous approved medical organizations have successfully delivered massive amounts of aid this year, but you have flatly refused to meet the mandatory registration requirements, protocols designed to block terrorist infiltration. If humanitarian aid were actually your priority, you would have made the effort to register like everyone else. You have no one to blame but yourselves. We aren’t surprised. MSF continues to prove it is a political organization, not a humanitarian one. Stop the politics and stick to the facts

We haven't been able to bring any new equipment into Gaza since the beginning of this year, as Israeli authorities block aid from entering. We're using equipment we have used for a long time, meaning it can malfunction and severely impact our patients' recovery. msf.org/gaza-israeli-e…

Hezbollah fired 165 rockets at and around UNIFIL posts in southern Lebanon. This isn’t random - Hezbollah deliberately targets UN posts and personnel for their political and propaganda needs. Hezbollah must be stopped and disarmed.

Iran’s terror network spans continents. Weapons supplied by Iran, routed through Assad-linked actors and Hezbollah networks, traded for drugs and millions - fueling terror from the Middle East to Latin America. This is how the Iranian regime fuels global instability. wsj.com/world/middle-e…

It is deeply concerning to see the selective nature of international outrage. When Israeli shells are suspected of falling near UNIFIL positions during combat, we see an immediate wave of condemnations and calls for high-level meetings. Yet, when 165 Hezbollah rockets strike the very same UNIFIL posts, the silence is profound. No headlines, no urgent meetings, just a quiet look the other way.

‼️REVEALED: ~165 of Hezbollah’s rocket launches have landed inside or adjacent to UNIFIL posts in southern Lebanon Hezbollah systematically violates international law, while endangering international forces and harming UN personnel. The IDF continues to maintain coordination with @UNIFIL_ forces in the area.

Looted art is never just about the art. It reflects the dignity stolen, the smiles erased, and the happiness taken from our grandparents. In 2018, I had the honor of representing Israel at the international conference “20 Years of the Washington Principles: Roadmap to the Future” in Berlin, dedicated to advancing the restitution of art looted by the Nazis. I dedicated my remarks to my grandmother, because beyond the property taken from her, the deeper wound was the loss of innocence and the childhood world that was stolen from her.

For years @geraldposner and I have reported on Nazi-looted art and the decades-long fight to get it back. A court finally ordered the return of a $25M Modigliani stolen from Jewish dealer Oscar Stettiner—after generations of delay, denial, and legal obstruction. Stettiner died without ever seeing it returned. But his family had carried on the fight. These cases matter. It is not just about a single painting but instead about justice delayed and a promise that the story does not end with the theft. Link in the comment

Hezbollah has turned entire villages in southern Lebanon into military strongholds, using them to fire directly at Israeli civilians and homes across the border. As the Lebanese government and army have failed to meet their obligation to disarm Hezbollah, Israel must act to neutralize these bastions and protect its population. The photos shown are from northern Israel, illustrating the impact on communities under attack.
