He did say it’s a delicate balance, though, in my notes from that talk I think he said about 2/3rds of his musical recipe comes from fairly recognizable tropes, the last third is where he gets creative.

Can’t wait for everyone to experience Star Wars: Outlaws and our soundtrack SOOOOON! The music system is one of the best I’ve worked with. Orchestra sounds through-composed but is in fact highly interactive. We set rules early and wrote and recorded accordingly. Amazing team!
