Minister @Antonio_Tajani, following the Berlin Conference on Sudan: 🗣️ "Today I attended the third Humanitarian Conference on #Sudan, a country where the civil war has caused a dreadful humanitarian crisis. Echoing the Holy Father’s appeal, I emphasized the need for dialogue and the importance of uniting all the forces of the international community to bring the conflict to a swift end and restore peace and stability to Sudan. With #ItalyForSudan, we are on the front lines. I announced an additional €30 million package to provide, through our Cooperation, a concrete and urgent response to the crisis. We will deliver Italian aid in the sectors of health, education, and agriculture. I have also announced that we intend to organize a political and humanitarian meeting in Italy, together with the #FAO, to continue fostering the political process and dialogue for the reconciliation of Sudan."

Oggi ho partecipato a Berlino alla terza Conferenza umanitaria per il #Sudan, dove la guerra civile ha prodotto una crisi umanitaria gravissima. Ho sottolineato, condividendo l’appello del Santo Padre, la necessità del dialogo e l’importanza di unire tutte le forze della comunità internazionale per porre fine rapidamente al conflitto e portare pace e stabilità in Sudan. Con #ItalyForSudan siamo in prima linea. Ho annunciato un ulteriore pacchetto da 30 milioni di euro per dare, attraverso la nostra cooperazione, una risposta concreta e urgente alla crisi. Porteremo l’aiuto italiano nei settori della salute, istruzione, e agricoltura. Ho annunciato anche che intendiamo organizzare in Italia, insieme alla #FAO, un incontro politico e umanitario per continuare a favorire il processo politico e di dialogo per la riconciliazione del Sudan.

Minister @Antonio_Tajani on the joint statement on the expansion of the use of the death penalty in Israel: 🗣️ “Our government, together with those of 🇩🇪, 🇫🇷 and 🇬🇧, has issued a joint statement calling on the Israeli government to withdraw the bill introducing the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners convicted of terrorism. The commitments made, particularly through the resolutions adopted at the United Nations, regarding a moratorium on the death penalty cannot be disregarded. For us, life is an absolute value; to claim the right to take it away as a form of punishment is an inhumane measure that undermines human dignity”.

Il nostro governo, insieme a quello di Germania, Francia e Regno Unito, attraverso una nota congiunta ha richiesto al governo israeliano di ritirare il disegno di legge che introduce la pena di morte per i prigionieri palestinesi condannati per terrorismo. Gli impegni assunti, soprattutto con le risoluzioni votate alle Nazioni Unite, per una moratoria sulla pena di morte non possono essere disattesi. Per noi la vita è un valore assoluto, arrogarsi il diritto di toglierla per infliggere una punizione è una misura disumana che lede la dignità della persona.

Min. @Antonio_Tajani at the meeting of the @G7 in #Paris 🗣️: “Italy aims to bring an end to the crisis in the Middle East: a war that, beyond destabilizing the entire region, has serious repercussions on our economy. We reaffirmed our commitment to de-escalation and to restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. We are at the forefront of the ASPIDES mission in the Red Sea and ATALANTA in the Indian Ocean. We will spare no effort to ensure safe passage through the Strait and to protect our trade routes. On the European side, we will work together for the reconstruction of #Ukraine, to repair the Chernobyl power plant, and to strengthen our support for Kyiv across all sectors. Lastly, we relaunched the #G7’s action on #criticalminerals, maritime security, countering drug trafficking, and making humanitarian aid more effective. Once again, Italy🇮🇹 has played a leading role, without any subordination.”

Riunione del G7 a Parigi. L’Italia vuole porre fine alla crisi in Medio Oriente, una guerra che oltre a destabilizzare l’intera regione ha serie ripercussioni sulla nostra economia. Abbiamo ribadito l’impegno per una de-escalation e per il ripristino della libertà di navigazione nello Stretto di Hormuz. Per questo siamo in prima linea nella missione ASPIDES nel Mar Rosso e in ATALANTA nell’Oceano Indiano. Contribuiremo con ogni sforzo a garantire un passaggio sicuro attraverso lo Stretto per proteggere le nostre rotte commerciali. Sul fronte europeo lavoreremo insieme per la ricostruzione dell’#Ucraina, per riparare la centrale di Chernobyl e per rafforzare il nostro sostegno a Kyiv in tutti i settori. In ultimo abbiamo rilanciato l’azione del G7 su #mineralicritici, sicurezza marittima, contrasto ai traffici di droga e per rendere più efficiente la macchina degli aiuti umanitari. Anche questa volta l’Italia ha svolto un ruolo da protagonista, senza alcuna subalternità. Con questo Governo, autorevole e politicamente stabile, siamo al centro di ogni iniziativa di dialogo e per la pace. Interlocutori credibili per tutti i nostri partner.
