Congratulazioni to Ancona! This beutiful port city in Italy's Marche riegion has just been named Italian Capital of Culture 2028. It follows Pordenone (2027), L'Aquila (2026), and Agrigento (2025).

A week focused on the fight against organized crime, space exploration and more. As we head towards the Memorial Day weekend, we continue to build on the strong cooperation between Italy and the United States, spanning many sectors and all levels of government.

On the sidelines of the @ascendspace conference, we hosted the Global Leaders Space Exploration Forum, organized by @aiaa. Space is a strategic priority for Italy. Alongside the US and our international partners, we are committed to peaceful, cooperative space exploration.

Despite lagging behind in many input factors, Italy performs better in terms of innovation outputs. Italian scientific research ranks among the most productive globally, with high levels of publications and citations per 100 researchers #TechForum2026

Minister @Antonio_Tajani on the provisional agreement reached yesterday to implement the tariff-related elements of the EU-US Joint Statement of 21 August 2025: 🗣️“Good news from Brussels: the European Parliament and the Member States have reached an agreement to implement the EU-US joint statement on #tariffs issued last August. Europe is demonstrating its seriousness and reliability by honoring its commitments and thereby aiming to strengthen the economic foundation of the transatlantic partnership. This is an important step toward providing economic stability and certainty for our companies that export to the US. Now it is important to continue working toward the swift entry into force of the agreement 🇪🇺-🇺🇸”.
