Oh I’m not a trad Catholic at all. I just don’t see a theological reason to not allow them to marry. I went through all the arguments and it just doesn’t make sense to me, especially in these times. Sure it’s a burden, but so is everything else worth perusing in life. I think the pros far outweigh the cons. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@ItsMrEnzo @sitsio @Catholicizm1 You might be right. I’m Ukrainian Catholic so my priest is married with kids. So more masculine men are attracted to the eastern priesthood as a result. However, there are downsides. Priests with kids become very busy. They’re just not as available as a RCC priest.

Look, if it was just some I wouldn’t have a problem - after all it’s not necessarily a sin to be attracted to same sex. But it’s like every one of our priests (at least here in NY). The priesthood was a great way for gay men to have an excuse not to have children and never actually “come out.” And gay men also have a tendency to be “high performers.” They also crush it in the corporate world. The Catholic Church has plenty of money. And the biggest expense is housing and they already taken care of that. Our original Pope, St. Peter and other apostles had a wife, so don’t give me that.
