The Philippines has made 3 demands of Roblox ahead of the April 10th deadline, otherwise, they may face a national ban.
1. Roblox must establish a physical office in the Philippines
2. Roblox must overhaul its age verification protocols, rather than using facial recognition or self-declared birthdays, instead they are recommending the Philippine Identification System, which is a National ID System.
3. Roblox must provide authorities with "necessary information to track down digital predators and cybercriminals"
Secretary of the DICT, Henry Aguda, stated that the process will uphold legal safety net and due process, requiring court orders and subpoenas.

No ban yet! The CICC has pushed the potential nationwide ban to April 10 after Roblox reached out and promised full cooperation on child safety.

April 7-9: Roblox Staff meets CICC in Manila to present fixes
Roblox says they're committed to keeping Filipino kids safe and believe the platform can still be a positive place for creativity and play.

🚨 Phillipines ROBLOX BAN UPDATE The government cut the deadline to 15 days YESTERDAY (from 30 days) because Roblox still hasn't cooperated on child safety fixes. their Telcos are READY to block Roblox nationwide if nothing changes. The Philippines has a large Roblox community, both in terms of players and developers. Many Filipino creators are also earning income through the platform, which shows how important Roblox has become there, I hope Roblox continues to support and work closely with the community so the platform remains accessible and doesn’t face any risk of being banned.
