@pizzaboy If you had to start a design studio now, what would you do different?

I went from a burnout engineer manager to a design studio founder in 1 year (and lost most of my hair in the process). Before the studio, I was managing a team of 14 engineers. The founders wouldn't let go of control. They kept prioritising the wrong features. We were building on foundations that weren't stable enough, just piling more and more on top until the whole thing collapsed. The bureaucracy and the upper management made me really burned out. I left to be a DevRel. At that job, everything was open source, so I started streaming my days on Twitch and even had some subs. But then I got laid off. I was kind of not sure what to do, so I was job searching live on stream, for something more creative, and then one of the viewers dropped this in the chat: "Dan, I need a logo. Can you do it?" And here we are. I traded my hair for this studio, but it was worth it.
