@pilater89 @GLxxxvi @Awk20000 No, crazy for not just simply buying candy without toxic dyes. It's like buying a salami pizza and then removing the salami from the pizza because you don't like salami.

@FlerfHerder More interestingly, this should be the case for the moon as well. And unlike the sun due to its brightness, the moon is observeable by even the average person, yet no one ever saw the moon getting smaller as it's vanishing below the horizon.

Why are there no videos of the sun getting smaller as it gets farther away if it's vanishing due to perspective? 🤔🤫🌎

@pweheh @xdNiBoR You are right if you take days, months and years at equal value. However they don't have equal value, a year for example contains 12 months, thus being objectively bigger than a month. A month contains 30/31 days, thus being objectively bigger than a day.

that chart does not makes sense. why 12 unit month is bigger than 28+3 unit days? if size derives from total units it has than month day year makes sense. however i think dd mm yyyy is better because the day is the most important thing as its the only thing that keeps changing in a 28+3 interval.

@mightbejell0 Parents are both financially and legally responsible for their children, thus it is not to much to ask for children to follow the parents rules. You won't change bad and or abusive parents by kids not listening to them. You just create a bunch of anarchists.

The biggest and most successful psyop in the world is the belief that children should automatically obey their parents and that parental respect is not earned; alongside the notion that using force is a viable means to discipline a child

@ApedThe @Ryunney @LoreLodge @knightworld Also taking some fringe weapons is simply stupid, if I had to put the amounts of blunt force weapons used by the japanese into numbers, the blunt force weapons would probably be single digit percentage and 90% of the blunt weapons would be the Kanabou which is useless in 1 v 1s.

@ApedThe @Ryunney @LoreLodge @knightworld The original post implied the use of swords, thus I am speaking about swords. It got nothing to do with me thinking they mainly used swords. The by far most popular weapon was the yari. So lets take the yari. Oh yeah, they lose. My point remains the same.

@jefflee2015 The nodachi is simply a bigger more sturdy katana. It was still based on heavy slashing and stabbing combat just like the katana. The naginata, also(you see the pattern?) was heavily based on slashing and stabbing. The only weapon that'd have a chance would be the yari.

@IvanTerrribl i had no issues with swords. i had issues with the thinking that a samurai would use a cutting weapon like a katana against a plated opponent. i said you painted a picture like that, not nessicarily said it. you changed it to 9/10 due to "luck", lmao.

@jefflee2015 Alright, let's say the battlefield is most favorable to the samurai AND he uses the yari, I am gonna crank it up to 30-40%. Every other weapon is a 100% chance for the knight to win. 90% with a yari in a neutral battlefield as before.

@jefflee2015 You know why blunt force weapons were so popular against full plate? Because you did damage no matter where you hit. Because lets face it, hitting the weakspots is incredibly hard, especially if the knights sole attention is on you.

@IvanTerrribl and a samurai isn't just a lightly armored pushover with a brittle katana. 9/10 is whack.

@jefflee2015 It may not instantly break but that isn't the point. It will get damaged considerably. And again. A knight isn't just a pushover in a shiny armor that will just let you hit his weakspots.

@IvanTerrribl again, in reality, a naginata or any japanese weapon is not going to instantly break in a clash. my gripe with you is this 9/10 business - you must be imagining some fantasy scenario playing out.

@jefflee2015 And now look at you back again at swords, after first trying to not talk about swords. You not only backpedaled but much rather row in circles. Also, where did I say the knight would win every time? I never once did I claim that.

@IvanTerrribl nope. i've conceded the advantage goes to the knight, but you ard lore lodge made assertions that paint the knight winning every time, you both have since slightly backpedaled.

@jefflee2015 Also, I keep on noticing that you seemingly assume that the knight is just gonna stand there and do nothing. You think they would just let you hit a weakspot? It is extremely hard hitting weakspots in a 1 v 1 as the knights sole focus is on you.

@IvanTerrribl different type of sword, bud. longswords are also an affective thrusting weapons that can exploit weak spots. are you trying to say the samurai had no thrusting weapons? lol.

@jefflee2015 I mean the japanese have pretty much nothing to counter the full plate armor so 9/10 is pretty generous in my opinion.

@jefflee2015 Ah yes, now we are at swords again. And no longswords didn't counter plate armor. They circumvented the weakness of the longsword somewhat by half-swording. Good luck trying to do that with japanese swords. Also, the issues of japanese blades still remain.

@IvanTerrribl thrusting weapons like longswords and poleaxes were used to counter plate in medieval europe. there are japanese equivalents of these weapons (odachi, yari. naginata, etc.)

@IvanTerrribl But to say 9/10 you would have be imagining a lightly armored samurai trying to cut at steel plates, with the only chance of victory being a "lucky hit". Or if you actually believe it's that clear cut, then idk what to tell you. Fighting is a messy business.
