@BriannaWu Keep being you. You’re one of the best parts of this cursed platform.

There are only 15 million Jews in the world and 8 million of them live in Israel. There are many, many, many more people that hate Jews. This creates a game Jews cannot win.
There are large social rewards for holding Israel to double standards, and more minor social rewards for holding mildly antisemitic views.
Inversely, there’s a massive social price to be paid by being pro Israel and pro Jew. Anyone can read my mentions here or especially on threads and have the price of this illustrated very clearly.
It’s not just that I am attacked for those views. It’s that they declare me a non-person and attacking me on any basis becomes fair game. My mentions are an avalanche insults about my looks, me being trans and quite literally suggesting I should be killed.
This is why standing with Israel and Jews ultimately comes down to integrity. It’s not just that there is no reward. It’s that there is very literally a cost. Most people are so self-centered, they will simply ignore the issue.

@JinkxMonsoon just saw you in Pirates and loved it! So sad I’m not going to be in NY while you’re in “Oh, Mary” or I’d be there too.

In August 1968, HMS OCELOT conducted the first ever RN mission in the Med to covertly sail under Soviet warships and collect intelligence on them.
This previously unknown mission, conducted in close coordination with the RAF was known as OP SCOOP.

Honestly - a few of the replies to this little tribute to engineering excellence exhibit a level of stupidity that suggests to me that it won’t be long before our spacecraft are the only thing that remains of our increasingly dim-witted civilisation. Until recently my guess has been that the answer to the Fermi Paradox might be found in biology - complex biological systems are rare. I’m increasingly of the view that the reason for The Great Silence is that civilisations are inevitably crushed by the weight of nobheads shortly after inventing the internet.

It never ceases to amaze me that a spacecraft launched in 1977 can be fixed remotely from Earth.

@teh_aimee Look at me. I’m the PM and I can travel with no minders and just a daysack. What absolute tosh. I reckon that hoody is worn for the first time today @teh_aimee

Massive “I’ve never been on a train with the plebs” energy there. ‘Look how relatable I am in my hoody’

@teh_aimee It’s like watching the dog yip in his sleep when has his birb dreams (I’m guessing that’s what it is - that’s the only think that makes him yip with excitement)
