After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility left. Thank you TTU for letting me be apart of an amazing season, but I am excited to see what the future holds!!

Team success > individual success Happiness is meant to be shared.

PLAYERS: If you're the most TALENTED player on your team, you should also be the HARDEST worker on the team. Lead by example. Set the standard. Be the standard. Your talent might not be contagious but your energy can be.

PLAYERS: Just because your coach, the media, or anybody else doesn't give you the credit or praise that you think you deserve doesn't mean you stop doing what's right. Integrity is not situational. It's always the right time to do what's right. Keep doing what you need to do.

You won’t like it sometimes, but you find out that the people in your life who don’t allow you to take shortcuts or make excuses & hold you accountable, are the people who care for you the most. It’s not personal. It’s all about teaching you, preparing you & helping you improve!

What is your identity as a player? Are you a competitor who never quits? Anybody who watches you play, even for one minute, should say, “Man, that kid competes!” Competing is a prerequisite for great things to follow, but more importantly, it’s essential for your team’s success!

As an athlete, you play your best when you stop trying to control the outcome, and instead, you relax and let your instincts take over.

PLAYERS: Take coaching seriously, not personally.

You can either be scared of competition, or you can embrace it. The best athletes embrace competition because they know it brings out the best in them.

Never use your natural talent or athleticism as an excuse not to work hard. There are too many talented and motivated athletes out there that will outwork you. Your laziness may not hurt you in high school, but it will catch up to you eventually.

Athletes: Other people’s timelines and successes do NOT define you, your worth, your success, any of it. I promise, your time will come. Keep your head down and keep working.
