I’ll repeat that $SOFI is going to hurt a lot of retail investors soon. We’re worried about college grads and recent college grad employment. So the company sitting with $30B+ of high ticket personal loans to this cohort is exactly where I would not want to hide out. Layered in the absurd 8x+ tangible book value multiple, and the fact that book value would be a lot lower if they followed CECL accounting on their loans instead of phony market to model accounting, the risks are really continuing to mount.

Unsurprisingly, $SOFI bears have cherry-picked the only bearish part of very bullish data. The data do show that August M/M numbers were down 22% from July. However, they failed to mention that is still 41% YoY growth and in July and August combined, there was 59% Y/Y growth compared to July and August of 2025. 59% YoY growth for all of Q3 would be $7.78B in PL originations and would be 11.6% Q/Q growth from Q2. The point of highlighting a one-month drop of 22% was to stoke fears of a slowdown in business. The overall data show quite the opposite. The data does not show September so I'm just extrapolating to get the $7.78B number, so take that with a grain of salt. As an aside, YipitData's historical backtest accuracy actually looks quite good. Their data seem very credible... which is great since it's so bullish. As I said in my post earlier. A single M/M data point in isolation is probably just noise and not signal. However, the overall signal is looking very nice. Thank you @MultiMismanaged for giving us cherry-picked FUD that actually led to discovering a very bullish trend.
