If London refuses #IndyRef2, then the SNP should pull the Scottish Assembly down call an election and secure an SNP majority. They should continue to do this until a referendum is called.

Nationalists are trying to spin, spin, spin - so what are the FACTS 👇👇. The Union remains STRONG with clear Pro-Union majorities in Scotland and Wales. In Northern Ireland we are not "led" by a "pro-independence" FM - it is a joint role with a Unionist. In addition, it is Unionism that is the biggest grouping in the Northern Ireland Assembly, not nationalism. Ignore those who are desperately seeking a headline from the recent results, and look at the facts. It would better serve those who are spin, spin, spinning today to get on with the business of delivering for people on health, education and on improving lives. #SinnFeinSpinFein

@LisaSmartMP and @EdwardJDavey, the UK's hodge-podge of voting systems is a sovereignty-distorting mess. Propose cut-offs of half of registered voters at referendums and single-member constituencies via the alternative, not the plurality-winner, vote.#Newsnight #YES2AV+ #indyref2

@ruth_wishart The ‘voluntary’ aspect was in 1707 when both England and Scotland chose to join together peacefully to create a new single sovereign country Ruth. Scotland is no more trapped in the UK than Bavaria is trapped in Germany or California is trapped in the USA.

A "voluntary" union is not where one party is essentially trapped.

In 8 days, Scots have a once in a generation opportunity to vote for change. The SNP don't deserve to win. Reform can't win. Only a vote for Scottish Labour can deliver the change Scotland needs.

💯 @RussellFindlay1 is absolutely right. The threat of an SNP majority is REAL. Vote Scottish Conservative on your peach ballot paper to stop an SNP majority – we did it in 2016 and 2021, we can do it again. #bbcqt

@AndrewCrines #indyref2 There was a little Austrian corporal and a couple of pals back in the last century who also argued that we are stronger together. They weren't right. neither was that Georgian bloke whose empire eventually crumbled.

In the event of another #Indyref, the political case for the #Union will evolve - a lot has changed since 2014, but the fundamental argument for the Union remains - ie, we're stronger together as one United Kingdom, nationally and globally. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@ShashlikNo1 @FatimaJojiSnp #indyref2 Tell that to the many English members and supporters of Scottish parties. Those who are not welcome are English racists like yourself; you can keep your poison at home.

@J4cobite @DrPamGosal @ScotTories The SNP are continuing to wreck Scotland. When they go, I go. The UK is a unitary state created by the Act of Union. There isn't going to be another independence referendum.

If the SNP win a majority on the 7th May, John Swinney will ramp up his push for another divisive independence referendum and keep hiking your taxes while the benefits bill balloons out of control. Stop this from happening by voting @ScotTories with your peach party vote.

@albions012 @DrPamGosal @ScotTories #indyref2 The Treaty of Union combined two kingdoms, it did not create a "unitary state" of which there is no mention. A unitary state by many definitions requires uniformity of government which has never been the case in the UK as the terms of the Treaty prevented full unity.

@albions012 @DrPamGosal @ScotTories #indytref2 1. The colonist does not get to decide. 2. That is what the MP is there for. 3. It isn't one country. The Treaty of Union created a single kingdom consisting of several countries, it abolished no countries. Good luck telling the English their country does not exist.

@J4cobite @DrPamGosal @ScotTories 1. Get a majority of MPs in Westminster to support an appropriate Bill. 2. Take it up with your MP. 3. The UK is a unitary state created by the Act of Union. One country, with regions.
