All is going swimmingly well. So far we have fucked up the car sat nav, driven in the wrong direction for ten miles, totally failed to open the boot of the car, and clarkie has lost his glasses 3 times. Why do I have to work with such amateurs. #LardTV

@JAD965 I wish my grandfather had been more like you, dependable, sober and capable of doing something nice for their grandson. Instead, I got the pissed‑up old twat who treated life like an Olympic sport in which the only event was to ruin Christmas.

Painting a box of winter Fallshirmjager for my grandson. Ive used contrast paints and the block paint, wash and highlights method to get these two teams done. They are very quick painting styles that give a half decent figure that I can churn out quite quickly.

Yesterday I ran a CoC2 learning game for a long time wargaming friend. We played the Attack and defend scenario with US troops attacking a German infantry platoon just after the Normandy landings. We played in 15mm, to give that nice sense of space i really like.

@JAD965 Nice table. And playing one or two scales smaller does give a better impression of the "empty battlefield"...

@Dozibugger Thats a bit sad. My most favourite aspect of our hobby is the actual playing of games. The painting and modelling are just means to an end for me. If I could afford to buy everything ready to go I would, but I'll make sure everything is painted before I play, each to their own.

@JAD965 I’ve noticed quite a lot of games in which people are using unpainted figures. Interesting.

@Dozibugger Let's just say that it's probably a good job that soon you'll be able to 3d print your figures out already coloured in 😏
