@IuliiaMendel Yak-52 is an excellent tool for that job -- extremely agile (it's used for aerobatics), reliable, inexpensive to fly. 4 hours or so of endurance. Vastly better tool against Geran-1's than an F-16. Sadly UA only has a few dozen of them.

Why would any European want to speak to Putin? I am curious what they are preparing to say to him. As Secretary of State, George Shultz said, “Negotiations are a euphemism for capitulation if the shadow of power is not cast across the bargaining table.” So, what sort of shadow of power is Europe going to cast? Confiscation of frozen assets? I don't think so. Deployment of troops in Ukraine or closing the skies? Not happening. So I hope they figured out some other leverage, something that would actually shift Putin's mindset. If not, it’s going to be at best a shameful photo opportunity or at worst – an attempted capitulation undermining a still-fighting Ukraine. Either way, why not just send a white flag? This meeting could literally be an email. No need for anyone to go and humiliate themselves in person.

@GLandsbergis If Europe wants peace they need to do more than 'tell' Russia to get out of Ukraine. Europe needs to go help kick Russia out of Ukraine and demonstrate that Europe is not just talk but also action. Give Ukraine Taurus and everything else they need to quickly end the conflict.

If Putin wants peace he can just get out of Ukraine. If Europe wants peace, we can just tell Putin to get out of Ukraine. Neither of these things are currently happening, and nothing good will happen until one of them does. For sure.

This is how many dead Russians we saw per day in the month of January in our analysis of video. We do not count people who die in a vehicle, collapsing buildings, exploding dugouts, etc unless their dead body is visible. It is not an estimate. Just dead Russians in public videos.

During my visit to Kyiv today I saw a civilian heating plant targeted by Russian missiles. No military value whatsoever - attacks meant only to make people suffer. But Ukraine stands strong. And NATO stands with you.
