I don’t have a dog in this fight. I was just pointing out that “upon information and belief” is the legal equivalent of pleading: “Uncle T said that . . .” What’s more, I don’t know if the allegations are true or not and don’t really care. All I know is that you plead “upon information and belief” to let the court know you don’t have any proof to back up that statement so you won’t get sanctioned if it turns out to be false.

The Warde Manual situation is about one thing: What did he know and when did he know it? How successful Michigan has been on the field/court is irrelevant.
