What the AF is going on with our homeowners insurance in Texas. It doubled last time and I just received our quote and it almost doubled again. Have never had a claim on any policy. Anyone in the #txlege going to address this? Same with auto, pure insanity.

Bad take. You got a code from O’Reillys, but there’s way more to it than whatever just popped up on the screen. Proper diagnosis takes OEM scanners, live data, pinpoint testing, and real time in the bay. Techs have to get paid for that expertise — it’s not charity. You’re taking the technicians time to fuck with your car when they can be turning hours on something profitable. They offered to credit the $199 toward the repair, which is fair as hell. Cheap bastard.

Check engine light came on. I went to O’Reilys and got the code. I called the dealership to see what it would cost to fix. They said they wanted to do their own scan for 199.00. But it would go to any repair made. I said I’ve already done the scan. Still 199.00. People are crooks
