@JBudDavis But is the money poured into the relationship part an efficient outcome? Some of these schools (mine) still spend an insane amount on traditional recruiting to get that perceived discount. If you’re 5 million on recruiting and get a 2.5 million discount, did you really get one?

"It rained nonstop for a million years even mean" is such nonsense. It has certainly rained some volume somewhere on earth every day for the last 1 my. Are they implying it rained EVERYWHERE CONSTANTLY for 1 my? Totally implausible. That is simply not how convection works.

This isn't going to have a big impact on serious CFB programs But if someone can dupe a recruiting service and manage to get ranked; they could probably swindle some way-too-online boosters into paying for them to camp/unofficial visit
