🚨🚨It is with deep sorrow & regret that I announce; I am formally dropping out of the YYC2025ELECTION for the Mayor of Calgary seat. I can not endorse any other candidate as I truly don’t believe in any of them. My self funded campaign doesn’t even stand close to the 100k + donations the other candidates have. I will be taking time away from social media as this decision truly hurts & I don’t blame anyone but myself for some missteps along the way causing me to make this choice. I won’t be going away from Calgary due to the fact I know the others campaign promises & I will be holding them accountable for what they do deliver or don’t. I’m truly sorry as I know I’ve let down 1.6 million people urning for actual leadership. I am that person just couldn’t show you this round unfortunately. P.S. *Don’t get older every year, get wiser everyday! * 🌆❤️

I understand that my personal information, including my home address, was shared publicly on a screen at a recent Alberta separatist event. It was also recorded on video, and is now circulating. This was apparently part of the outrageous data leak of Albertans’ private information, wherein Elections Alberta shared its entire detailed provincial voter database with the “Republican Party of Alberta,” which in turn shared it with some separatist group called the “Centurion Project,” whose leadership then shared my personal information publicly. Over the past few years I have received no shortage of threats from people broadly associated with the separatist / antivax / far right movement in Alberta. So it is disturbing that my personal information is now broadly available, particularly in those circles. While I have been targeted specifically, the broader data breach may also effect vulnerable Albertans, including victims of domestic violence, journalists, activists, judges, and other public servants for years to come. I will retain legal counsel to seek advice on recourse regarding this outrageous and potentially dangerous violation of my personal privacy.

As she prepares to exit the role, her legacy will endure not only in her service, but in the way she served — with an unshakable belief in Canada.

The Carney Liberals have added $1 trillion of debt on the backs of Canadians. More money for bankers and bondholders. Less for health care, schools, roads, and everything else. Let's shrink the size of government so every dollar that working Canadians earn goes further and buys an affordable life.

I am grateful to Canada for its strong support of the PURL initiative. The additional $200 million announced today by Prime Minister @MarkJCarney is an important contribution to protecting our people from Russia's constant ballistic strikes. In total, Canada has already allocated more than $830 million to support this initiative. These are decisions that truly save lives. During the meeting, we discussed in detail strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Canada, further support for our people, and efforts to bring back Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. We are grateful to our Canadian friends and to the entire nation for their strong support.

The level of overreach and outright disregard from those in positions of power is becoming more exposed by the day. What’s increasingly difficult to understand is this: who do they believe they are protecting when the first response is to silence, shame, disparage, and attack the very people they are meant to serve? Public office is not a shield from scrutiny, it is a responsibility to answer to it. When criticism is treated as something to suppress rather than address, it raises a more fundamental concern: are decisions being made in the public interest, or in the interest of preserving power? Because a government that turns on its own citizens is not protecting the public, it is protecting itself.
