FYI: Rank-and-file journalists don't make endorsements. The paper's editorial board, which operates separately from our newsroom, does that (or doesn't as we just learned).
It's unfortunate that many (including media figures) are conflating the two.

If you live in an area under #Helene evacuation orders, please abide. 15-20' of storm surge is expected in the big bend of Florida, with over six feet forecast all the way from Indian Pass in the FL panhandle, south to Englewood, south of Tampa.

In #wrightwood now, the damage is not as extensive as many news channels made it out to be, though a few structures have sadly been lost. Appears to me firefighters did a miraculous job over night to save homes and property. The fire is still burning in a few spot areas near town
