No. The Falcons have another guy as CEO (the Kevin Warren role). This is Ryan’s title.

@dabearsblog Ok, so all team Presidents are the primary executive football decision maker.

"A voter who spoke on condition of anonymity said that (Bill) Polian... told some voters he believed Belichick should 'wait a year' before induction as penance for Spygate, the 2007 cheating scandal that cost the team a first-round draft pick."
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Bill Belichick, the 8-time Super Bowl-winning HC, is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, per @SethWickersham and @DVNJr. Belichick fell short of the 40 out of 50 votes needed for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

Just in: The #Jets have decided to part ways with OC Tanner Engstrand after one season -- making the decision 23 days after their season ended.

@mediocrebearfan @VelusJr Velus Jones getting to be on a Super Bowl team because a player on the other team made a Velus Jones play—the week after beating Velus Jones’ former team (the one where Velus Jones had 4 fumbles and 1 touchdown)—is the most Velus Jones storyline of all time.

@ButkusStats I've thought for a long time that the HOF should open a wing to Ass coaches, for the Buddy Ryan type coaches of the world. McDaniels might be a terrible HC, but he's certainly belongs in the Ass. Coaches HOF

The #Dolphins have zeroed in on #Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as their new head coach, per me and @TomPelissero. The two sides need to do a deal, and they are motivated to do so. One of most coveted candidates.

If not stay, then build an outdoor venue. This team belongs in the elements.

.@DavidHaugh admits this idea is "unrealistic," but a little part of him wonders if the electric scene this past Saturday could make the Bears rethink their stadium saga and consider staying at Soldier Field a viable option.

@Mincashftw @BearDown_Bad @jagibbs_23 Man I just love his skillset so much but think he’s unfortunately gone in the offseason. The defense needs so much help that I think he’ll be a trade casualty for an edge potentially.

I think they could reasonably move him and it would be fine, I think he still has 2 years left on his deal? I don’t know if that’s the right move but with a healthy Odunze and Burden being more than capable of taking over the DJ role +, he’s a bit redundant. If they can get a decent return (I think they could but he signed a hefty contract?) it’s probably better to move him at this point. I haven’t looked at the bears cap, but if they don’t need to free up space keeping their WE/TE core would be best depending on what they could get, and Moore is the most expendable and heaviest contract.

@Mincashftw @BearDown_Bad @jagibbs_23 I agree on all of the above. Both of the picks were extremely surprising in April but in Ben we trust tbh. You think DJ is gone in the offseason? I’m a fan but definitely feels like a major possibility

Loveland is a great prospect. Solid hands, great route running. Just wasn’t sure what to think until he got some playing time and he’s impressed. Burden is electric. Big play capability, great hands. The fear with him was mostly route tree things and if he could actually separate down field, simply cause that wasn’t a role he was asked to do in college much. He showed that he can and at an elite level. Bears have a wildly good young core. Caleb does some incredibly freakish shit, if he can be more consistent they’re going to be an exceptionally good offense.

Still up? Per @BearsPR... - Caleb Williams set a franchise record for passing yards in a playoff game (361) - Cairo Santos' 51-yarder is the longest FG for a Bear in the playoffs - Colston Loveland set rookie and TE team records for receiving yards in a playoff game.

@Mincashftw @BearDown_Bad @jagibbs_23 Love Luther. Hands, quickness, YAC — all there. He’s gonna be (and already is) a stud. Where do you think he’s better than Loveland though? Well good thing you found your niche! Sounds like you may need an Italian beef or two though

I was/am much higher on burden fwiw. And no, I’d have actually died. I was fast and 150lbs soaking wet, as they say. If someone with actual muscle and the ability to tackle had ever hit me I’d have probably broken ribs and cried tears. I’m much better suited to numbers on a spread sheet.
