What did we learn? 👉🏼Parameters of pennycress physiological maturity (PM) maximized in a similar order regardless of environment and year 👉🏼Pennycress reached PM between 2230-2250C CGDD 👉🏼Pennycress moisture is too high for mechanical harvest at PM and will need to be reduced

I'm getting a degree in plants, but I don't actually know how to take care of the plants in my apartment. It's my dark professional secret 🌱☠️

Yesterday someone breathlessly ran up to me in a store and yelled "you're young, does this look good?!" It did. And it was a nice reminder that feeling old and crippled from grad school doesn't actually mean that I'm old and crippled🙃

The great thing about having a standing desk is that I'm not sitting all day, but the terrible thing is that it's just so easy to wander away every 5 minutes when I'm trying to write

So excited and relived to hear that my second first-author paper was accepted and is moving to the proof stage! All that's left on my academic Christmas list now is "finish dissertation" 😅

@JCubins @AcademicChatter I’ve been listening to a lot of Animal Crossing music playlists on YouTube, or Stardew Valley music playlists! ✨ it helps make me feel like I’m just playing a game and having fun hahaha

@ThePlantProf When I ran cross country in high school, we were told that if we stopped or walked, it didn't count as the one run, it became two shorter runs! I don't know if other people think that way, but it kept me running in place for years (not anymore)

People who like to run: is jogging in place while you're waiting to cross the street helpful? Does it keep your running bits warm and useful? Because you have nothing to prove to me. You're exercising and I'm just sitting at this light eating a frosty. You've clearly already won.

Sometimes I wonder if doing years of busy work and unimportant little tasks has skewed my ability to determine if I'm being "productive" or not because productivity looks and feels way different now that I'm writing my dissertation! @AcademicChatter

You should go listen to this awesomely interesting @hookedonscience episode with @SciWithEmily! It's always a delight to learn about something new, but this was completely out of my wheelhouse and I was riveted during the interview and again during editing

If you've been wondering where #SciComm intersects with biomedical engineering and conducting polymers, look no further than today's episode with @SciWithEmily, one of the hosts of @SpotlightThePod! #Tweet100 #PodernFamily @AcademicChatter
