Maybe the story should have never been about Alabama and the SEC (“sucking”) Maybe the story should have been that Indiana and Miami are really, really good.

Indiana’s stadium attendance averaged 21% from the year 2000 to 2023. These fans do not love college football they’re bandwagon fans who just started watching the sport. This is very bad for college football.

Nebraska gets the win, but some team is going to beat the “foul up 3 philosophy” using this set. Great play call by Coach Diebler and staff for Ohio State. So many teams try to wait until a guard passes the half court line to foul up 3. By throwing the ball to the corner early you guarantee yourself a look with a solid down screen or pin down.

@ZehDuck There are many fans of SEC teams who loved to take credit for the SEC being good when in reality Alabama and Georgia carried the conference.

As a Tennessee fan, the closest thing to a big win is watching Alabama and Georgia both lose. Unlike the Big Ten and other conferences, I don’t root for SEC teams.

Ohio State just lost to the fourth best team in the ACC, are we really sure the Buckeyes belonged in the playoff? ACC is a far better conference than the Big Ten.

@treywallace Check out opponents penalties called over the last couple of years. It’s comical. Not complaining- just a fact.

Miami is the faster and more physical team right now. Ultimately though, it was the Jeremiah Smith missed block on the bubble screen the led to a pick 6 for Miami that has been the difference in this game. That and field goal kicking/ special teams

@MattFinkes This. People are staying some crazy stuff because they are emotional. This is my one complaint. Ohio state was the better team. Miami made a great play on the pick 6 and it flipped the game. Have to speed things up at that point or you have to play perfect.

Have to play fast here. Can’t play for a last drive like the Indiana game.
