Had the Defense Department’s harm-reduction mission not been axed by the Trump administration, the policies almost certainly would’ve reduced the number of noncombatants harmed over the past year, current and former officials tell ProPublica. propublica.org/article/trump-…

A tugboat with three bowls: one for gumbo; one for étouffée; and one for a shrimp cocktail. For a little extra get the surf and turf option with steak fingers and gravy. Or you can get a tex mex cruise ship with a bowl of borracho beans; a bowl of queso; and biria with tacos.

UNREAL: The @Mariners announce the latest and greatest in food vessel options: THE SOUVENIR FERRY BOAT. An $8 upgrade to items like nachos, chicken tenders, fish & chips & fries at locations around the park. Comes with two sauce holders on the ends of the boat!

We obtained the Dilley detention center’s 911 call logs. Among them are pleas for help for toddlers having trouble breathing, a pregnant woman who passed out and an elementary-school-aged girl having seizures. propublica.org/article/life-i…

This is not a matter of rooting like it's a football game. Literally everything that is happening is exactly what those who have favored diplomacy have been warning about for 15 years. We should not be fighting this war.
Erick Erickson@EWErickson

This is the first time I can remember so many members of the press actively and openly rooting for the United States to lose a war. And its all so they can get the better of Trump.

Despite how far afield we’ve found ourselves from the nation our founders dreamed of and our forebears fought for, we could still course correct. We could be delivered from this preventable, seemingly permanent hell scape this very day, if our representatives in both chambers of Congress weren’t afflicted with fearful spirits, stilled tongues, and feet of clay. We could be immediately emancipated from the clutches of a heartless, joyless, dementia-brutalized sociopath if our elected leaders had the courage to abandon their unwavering tribalism, to stop worrying about saving their own political asses, and to do what the entire world knows they should do, and is waiting for them to do. We could be released from this death spiral today if he were simply removed as our Constitution and the consciences of good people demand. johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/he-is-not-wo… UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER

But also it’s not only measles, pertussis (whooping cough) is also returning, and based on latest ACIP (or what used to be ACIP) stunts, we’ll see rotavirus, meningococcal meningitis, HBV liver cancer, return after that. A public health disaster built by design since Jan 2025
NBC News@NBCNews

If measles vaccination rates continue to drop just 1% annually for the next five years, the cost to the U.S. could reach $1.5 billion a year, according to a new report from the Yale School of Public Health. nbcnews.com/health/kids-he…

This isn’t the reason I don’t drink but it’s the reason so many people I know don’t drink. They have cancer history in their family and drinking alcohol is just a bad choice.

@RiverOaksPrblms I think you have to pick by actor. Agree with Goldfinger, but Dr No is right there. Agree with Goldeneye. Caught the Cold War moment really well. And who doesn’t love a tank chasing a car. Daniel Craig - Casino Royale hits hard. But Spectre has a better opening scene

Guy who paid for sex with underage girls says other guy who bought pedophile’s ranch is generous and “champion for the vulnerable.” You simply cannot make this shit up, even if you try. #txlege
Matt Gaetz@mattgaetz

Don Huffines is a champion for the vulnerable. He’s one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve ever known. Everything Don has done in this matter was to benefit victims. He never had anything to do with Epstein. Don Huffines will win his election and do great things for Texas.

NBC News is out with a very strong report into the apparent use of excessive force by ICE and other DHS officers, beyond the most notorious shootings. It also features this photo, which I couldn’t get past.
