@DhruvJain08 @thsottiaux I find it uses up my context tokens.
Turn it off and ask it to create save-points instead.
I have a system where it writes JSON for the AI & Markdown files for me to read.
If a thread gets too long it loses it's memory, the KV cache gets flushed and then your work is gone.

@fjzeit The people that are genuinely useful are always harvested, it's not convenient for the powers that be for the solutions to be spread; Their entire model collapses.
English

apparently, you can post about a highly effective method of getting ongoing quality results from a model with minimum negative impact and get 250 impressions OR you can construct some dumbass post about how AI is taking over and what does "Software Engineer" even mean now and get 180k impressions.

The CBC "prank show" deception scandal is getting so much worse.
The producers (operating under fake identities/fake company names with fake websites) told a number of RCMP veterans - people who dedicated their lives to serving on the frontlines - that they were invited to film for a show called "Life After Service." A ceremony to thank them for their service would follow, and they were told dignitaries would be present. This would take place at the CBC Vancouver studio. They were told to come in uniform.
When the RCMP vets arrived at the CBC Vancouver studio on March 25th and 26th, the "pranksters" took their phones away, which they claimed was CBC Vancouver studio policy. The former RCMP officers were also placed in front of an audience of what they were told were about two dozen "journalists." And it was sprung on them that this was a "live broadcast", with "media availability" afterwards!
Then the producers switched up the whole session to be not about life after service, but the historical wrongs committed by the RCMP against indigenous peoples - to berate these vets for being part of the RCMP.
There is so much more but I am hoping the individuals targeted in this elaborate scheme will be able to share their stories themselves.
Seriously, what even sounds remotely funny or silly about this concept? It is just sick and cruel
@CBCNews and @APTNNews... what are you thinking?

Lurking below the surface in the equatorial Pacific is possibly the most impressive blob of above average ocean temperatures we've ever recorded since we've had the ability to measure this stuff. When that enormous concentration of bath water reaches the surface over the coming weeks and months, it's going to release devastating consequences around the globe throughout the second half of the year. Get ready for severe droughts in parts of South America, Africa, and Australia, devastating monsoons in southern China, and a roaring southern jet all winter long in North America. When you combine this with the fertilizer crisis bubbling as a byproduct of current global events, there's going to be crop failure on a level most of us have never seen during the closing months of 2026. Hard to see how we avoid widespread deadly famines across multiple stretches of the planet at this point.

@skdh A perpetual motion machine may be possible in Space;

@iconawrites Opensource is the way to change that... the private companies refuse to use it, because then they would have to Opensource their work...
meanwhile, if everyone Opensources, they'll outpace the private companies I capability.
Now Everything is Decentralized.

Hermes Agent is a piece of shit code like the rest . I have no clue what people are praising these shit code bases for .. they are the most fragile pieces of crap vibe coded nonsense. They fall apart so easily and quickly on the first hint of complexity ..
A fucking do while loop outperforms them every time.

@thsottiaux Thanks to your rate limit reset earlier, my Sunday is full of anxiety wondering how to use the extra tokens. 🫣
English

@DhruvJain08 @thsottiaux Do you have memory on in Codex settings?
English

@thsottiaux I cannot, this is the best i get brother. please i been posting and replying to all ur posts this week.

English

@Parental_OnX @thsottiaux Codex already chewed up all my 250k context tokens, so may as well let it think as long as it needs.

English

@Parental_OnX @thsottiaux I recommend you work out the problem first on ChatGPT 5.5, ask GPT 5.5 to create a Prompt for Codex to follow.
English

@thsottiaux I'm teaching codex how to optimize my custom game engine by making it edit the levels so it knows the consequences of it's code reviews.

English

@lisp4fun @Acerola_t They still do at Ubisoft; I am the original programmer of the Snowdrop engine and part of the engine is the Code Review step; This is done for the Artists.
An entire culture that has created a game engine that can go toe to toe with Generative AI.
English

@JDBtracker @Acerola_t In Networking, we always had peer review, and I was under the impression devs did this and more.
But that was in the long, long ago times, boomers, etc.
I doubt many dev-ops have serious code review in detail, or devs using AI-aid in small, coherent vetteable chunks.
English

not sure what the problem is? these guys are outputting 1000x that of a normal developer so they should be able to afford this no problem or is it actually not worth it and everyone has been lying for years

GitHub Copilot moves to token based billing on June 1, and its users got a calculator showing their actual monthly token burn - some $39-a-month users have spent $1500 to $5800 in tokens a month. I believe it's indicative of every AI startup. wheresyoured.at/premium-what-i…
