@NickHarrisFWST @nickfromda301 How many 1st round picks is Dallas giving Houston for Al-Shaair? Because it's more than one...
English

@nickfromda301 They’ve pivoted off Queen. Al-Shaair & Brooks are being discussed though
English

My first mock draft of the season is live.
I have the Cowboys getting secondary and defensive line help in the first round, but what about linebacker?

@Marcus_Mosher Make sense for who? Not Houston. He's arguably their most important defender. When he's out they play very average. When he's in they're the best defense in the NFL.
English

Azeez Al-Shaair is in the final year of his contract and will turn 29 in August.
With Houston having a bunch of big contracts coming up, it would make sense to move him.
He's an awesome player. Would love this for Dallas.

You know, Columbia blue was a Houston City official color before the Oilers existed? It’s the color of their police cars, and it’s rooted in the color of the Texas Blue Bonnet, their official flower? Nashville’s colors are Gold and Dark blue, like the Predators wear. Titans ownership is just petty. Art Model didn’t lord over the Browns brand. Titans are lame.
English

@DrBlueBerry99 @Titans This argument is so dumb. They literally own all copyright for all oilers logos, colors, etc. and the team never changed hands. It’s really more like the Texans wish after 27 years they could use the colors.
English

@j_g_allen How does a battery charge that fast without being hit with a current level that destroys the battery itself?
English

@LADco @TomPelissero I’m basing it off his ability to make pre snap reads and just basically we agree he’s not great at football. Maybe he’ll be the world’s smartest tax accountant one day…
English

@JDoc311 @TomPelissero yeah, same here. I meant that I don't know him personally to judge him like that. I just know he's not great at football
English

Dan Campbell wants the Lions to get back to playing their brand of football, and that starts with reestablishing a dominant O-line.
From the NFL.com pre-draft scouting report on Juice Scruggs: “He plays like a block of granite…”
That fits.

English

@TomPelissero he plays like a block of granite.... that doesnt move
English

@FatherDynasty @RapSheet @MikeGarafolo @malkikawa @FirstRoundMgmt He’s not a good run blocker. He is a good pass blocker. How long do you live with a flawed player? His deal was coming up and they didn’t want to commit longer. Still, I can’t see them pulling the trigger unless they already have a FA lined up. He’s not a bad player.
English

@RapSheet @MikeGarafolo @malkikawa @FirstRoundMgmt Smart by the Browns but not sure why the Texans would be trading away one of the better pieces on their o-line when it’s a position of need.
English

Sources: The #Texans and #Browns have agreed to terms on a trade to send starting RT Tytus Howard to Cleveland in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
Much-needed OL help. Plus, Howard gets a new 3-year, $63M extension in a deal done by @malkikawa and Ethan Lock of @FirstRoundMgmt.

English

@_JP26_ @RapSheet @malkikawa @FirstRoundMgmt Using the term happy ending when referring to the Watson trade was 100% intentional
English

@RapSheet @malkikawa @FirstRoundMgmt you would think the browns learned their lesson from the last trade they made with the texans
hopefully this time has a happy ending for cleveland, but in a slightly different way than before
English

@nolafan76 @NFL_DovKleiman I saw him play Miami. I don't question his toughness. Cignetti has a lot of edge to him. I question him firing up grown men absent a leader like Cignetti doing it for him. That's really it. I have no real dawg in the fight. My favorite NFL team has a QB.
English

Powerful: Fernando Mendoza was asked how he would react if he fell in the draft.
Reporter: “If you don’t go #1 Overall, what would you say to the team that passed on you?.”
Mendoza: "Nothing. There are so many great players in this class."
👏👏👏
English

@kurt13warner 3 cone would be way more relevant to actual QB play than a 40 yard dash IMO.
English

Oh, so on the snap they can turn and sprint away from a DE!!! Got it… it all makes sense now!
Professor Keith 🏫📈@Carolinakeith_1
and just like that, David bailey guarantees a top 10 pick - and potentially a top 5. this is why QBs run the 40 like others do @kurt13warner . Dudes like this are getting the jump on you EVERY play, and almost every team has at least 1, sometimes 2.
English

@NFLUKIRE This makes zero sense? Washington vs a team that play in Purple but they aren’t playing a purple team in 2026?
English

What level chess is this?

BREAKING: Trump FDA retreats from plan to ban artificial colors in food, per The Guardian.
English

I think there are a lot of Americans who feel we are out of options. I felt very uncomfortable with the way COVID was handled, and I didn’t like the prosecution of Trump because it seemed very much like political persecution. It made the left unelectable. I have long standing disdain for Trump, and he’s proven to be an even worse version of the right. It feels this is true globally as well.
Nobody has our interests in mind anymore. Corporatists and Globalists vs Oligarchs and Technocrats consolidating power and resource and selling out the 99.9% of the population.
National pride seems to be just another form of division to keep people fighting with each other instead of finding a way out of this madness. Which makes sense if you want to have global world war somewhere in your exit strategy to Western Democracy.
English

@WhiteJesusLive @bruceami @Math_files Propoganda existed long before Nazi Germany…they burned witches before the printing press. Anyone trying to make propaganda any form of right vs left isn’t understanding that it existed before left vs right was a thing.
English

@bruceami @Math_files Not really a leftist thing. Propaganda was invented by Josef Göbbels. Not really a communist. And don’t come dragging with the Nazis = Communists. That’s pure bs.

Bayes’ theorem is probably the single most important thing any rational person can learn.
So many of our debates and disagreements that we shout about are because we don’t understand Bayes’ theorem or how human rationality often works.
Bayes’ theorem is named after the 18th-century Thomas Bayes, and essentially it’s a formula that asks: when you are presented with all of the evidence for something, how much should you believe it?
Bayes’ theorem teaches us that our beliefs are not fixed; they are probabilities. Our beliefs change as we weigh new evidence against our assumptions, or our priors. In other words, we all carry certain ideas about how the world works, and new evidence can challenge them.
For example, somebody might believe that smoking is safe, that stress causes mouth ulcers, or that human activity is unrelated to climate change. These are their priors, their starting points. They can be formed by our culture, our biases, or even incomplete information.
Now imagine a new study comes along that challenges one of your priors. A single study might not carry enough weight to overturn your existing beliefs. But as studies accumulate, eventually the scales may tip. At some point, your prior will become less and less plausible.
Bayes’ theorem argues that being rational is not about black and white. It’s not even about true or false. It’s about what is most reasonable based on the best available evidence. But for this to work, we need to be presented with as much high-quality data as possible. Without evidence—without belief-forming data—we are left only with our priors and biases. And those aren’t all that rational.

@JDoc311 @RepODLS No, it isn't, but that's going to be a consequence of both past and current actions by politicians. It's no wonder people are by and large disgruntled with all politicians, given the lack of progress being made in so many areas. Volatility and real-world cost of living matter!
