@Chris_BoroUTB I think Azaz has changed how he's played in the last 3 or 4 weeks. Before that he was trying to go for glory too much, lots of wayward shooting, holding on too long; almost trying too hard. He's found a better rhythm and it's helping the whole team.

He’s been producing those performances and numbers most of the season, the only difference is now the ball is hitting the net so he’s racking up the goals and assists. Been called everything from “sh!te” to “stats padder”. Proved his quality again today 🔥 #Boro

@Chris_BoroUTB For me Lath and Azaz doesn't work as a combo, Hackney, Morris, Doak and Hamilton don't have the experience to know how to take a game by the scruff of the neck/unlock defences. Generally not enough championship experience in current starting XI, need to get better balance.

Is 10 games too early to make any judgements on #Boro’s season? Looking at it historically, in many ways it isn’t too early. I’ve had a look through the last 5 seasons, to see where the clubs that finished 1st and 2nd were after 10 games… 🧵

@callum_rattray He's a good player, but holds the ball too long, backs himself to score too often (and doesn't), and doesn't link the play with Latte-Lath well enough. He's got ability, but either trying to hard or a bad fit for our current style/team. Can't decide which.

@ProfRayWills @CharlieJGardner That's assuming you're alone. If you weren't alone one person would reach the tap, one would grab a mop. Reducing impact of Carbon emissions is a team effort, not a solo one.

Part of the problem Latte-Lath is having this season, IMO, is that his style is a mismatch to Azaz. Latte-Lath loves the ball early, where he can catch defenders cold; Azaz loves an extra touch or 2. So much goes thru Azaz that unless he alters Manu will be less effective #boro

@untypicalboro Stoke allowed us to get in behind, they struggled with their system today. New gaffer finding his feet.

Actually don't think it was that different from previous games this season in terms of shape & creating chances but getting the goal changes the psychology & narrative. Doak & McGree give a good balance. Excellent stuff. #UTB #Boro

@MichaelPotts_ Maybe I'm influenced by the fact I grew up watching Tyne-Tees TV and they played it up for The Big Match. Duncan Wood and Roger Thames laid it on thick.

@JamesEKeen I can't immediately recount many Sunderland/Boro 'moments', goals or even results beyond last season and win or lose this one it'll be forgotten by Sunday... unlike the other derby, which sticks in your mind for the whole week before and years after.

The build-up to every single #SAFC v #Boro game is identical and tedious. We don't treat it as a derby, even though it is *a* derby, but not *the* derby. Boro turn up like it is *the* derby and win. Tale as old as time.

@MichaelPotts_ As a Boro fan I have loads of 'derby' memories - Emerson, Stuani both great moments - but for me, growing up in the 80s/90s it was never debated - just taken as given it was a derby. I get why Newcastle is more important, but like Leicester/Forest, might as well embrace it?

@chopper_reece He's blossomed under Emery. Was good but not a guaranteed starter for us. He saw the potential, fair play to him.
