Please note that all the instances I've mentioned are canon, so we know how good the Sandevistan and other boosters are in lore.
Generally good enough to let someone with some training eviscerate highly trained but less augmented people.

The high end feat is Edgerunners. The book No Coincidence has some lower-but-still-great speedware letting you watch bullets in slo-mo. The Max Tac comic has someone with a Karenzekov moving so fast that trained Max Tac soldiers (likely also boosted) can't get bullets into them. Lowest end is in Solo of Fortune and has someone aim dodging other shooters while doing CQB with a Sandevistan.

@torinthestorm I’m attaching a shot of the original Night City map. It fits most cities with a waterfront fairly generically, though it was intended GMs could lift the locations and pin them to a map of whatever city they wanted. Notice how simple the various names are.

@LujackSama @Mephisto_Twitch Like I said, there have been many inspirations for Night City, which itself was created by many writers and artists, including the boss. Going through the TTRPG you’ll find homages to Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell, Neuromancer, Blade Runner, Judge Dredd, and, yes, Batman.

@JGrayCreator @Mephisto_Twitch It seems like Pondsmith used his personal experiences, then was inspired by Frank Miller (Pondsmiths own words btw)
We know Miller's Gotham was inspired by Blade Runner, which roots in DADoES...
So your point of Blade Runner isn't wrong, but the Gotham inspo is real

@LujackSama @Mephisto_Twitch Night City has been inspired by many works, from comics to movies to books. No one source dominates with the possible visual inspiration of Blade Runner. That doesn’t negate the content of my post. For more context, this is a snippet from the original edition.

@kalaelizabeth It can be hard to leave behind. For example, even during a vacation I’ll end up with a dozen photos on my roll that are strictly taken to inspire future Cyberpunk thoughts.

Apparently I should post controversial statements to gain followers. How about … I consider Dungeons and Dragons is effectively its own genre and its own hobby. They say a rising tide raises all ships, but most other ships in this case are moored in a different harbor.
