Recently personal circumstances have shifted in ways that make the year ahead increasingly uncertain. After careful reflection, I’ve concluded that my most immediate calling is to my family. Because of that, I will be suspending my campaign for Lieutenant Governor. This decision was not made lightly. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who stepped forward — not simply in support of a candidate, but in service to your neighbors and communities. What inspired me most throughout this campaign was people's commitment to making each other's lives a little easier and to building a politics rooted in shared responsibility toward one another. There is a sacredness in that connection to our neighbors, and I hope we all continue to honor it, as it is undoubtedly the antidote to these troubling times. I continue to believe deeply in leadership grounded in compassion, mutual respect, and a recognition of our shared humanity. I will keep living out those values and supporting candidates and causes centered in them — just not as a candidate this year.
