@RedsDaily4 Matter of perception, I guess, but to me this is just silly.
You laugh and move on.
When the offense gets 1 or 2 hits in 9 innings and makes it look so routine and uneventful... that's what drives me up a wall.

@MurphysLaw74 If you say Park you gotta say Ratelle too.
Same world-class talent, same opportunities on the same contending teams.
Except for '82-'83, but those Bruins were never beating the Islanders.
English

@bryce_spalding I know it's probably more wishful fantasy than reality at this immediate point in time, but if just one of Mey-Maxwell would seize the moment and be the Phillips of 2026...
God forbid, they both do.

@RedsFan_Brandon When Suarez comes back: Every 8 games:
DH - Lowe (5) Suarez (3)
3B - Hayes (5) Suarez (3)
Give Lowe a start at 1B when either Sal, McLain or Elly have a day off and Lowe and Suarez are both playing in 6 of 8 games
Would love to not have Hayes at all but that is not happening

Nathaniel Lowe has homered in 5 of his last 21 plate appearances. #Reds

@For_Film_Fans Caught him recently in Warning Shot, a 1966 David Janssen film that's an underrated easy watch in the best sense of that term.
Sanders looks haggard and much older than his actual age, has very little time on screen, yet still delivers one killer line with complete perfection.

@RedsDaily4 "both those home runs, they were in hitter's counts" - Tigers radio.
That's how the walk rate, and not chasing pays off.

Only because I love you guys.

@bryce_spalding Would be a great time for Tito to see if Phillips can go four innings and still pitch in the remaining two games of the series.

@mikecommito :05 mark...
Puck skips on Juneau right at the spot where a fan threw a whiskey bottle or something on the ice earlier.

30 years ago today, Ken Wregget stopped Capitals' Joe Juneau on the first overtime penalty shot in Stanley Cup Playoffs history. Petr Nedved eventually scored the game-winner in the fourth overtime #Hockey365 #ALLCAPS #LetsGoPens

@OilersDayByDay He's in the Hall of Fame and I'd still like to ask Stevens what the hell he was doing on those last two completely inexplicable plays.
He looked like a deer in the headlights on both. And he was a 4-year vet. Still prone to mistakes back then, had his up & downs but... not that.
English

@RedsInFour The problem is he's already at 54 pitches with only six outs.
He may be at 100 by the 4th inning.
English

@HeyGingersaurus I don't understand using your super-promising power arm reliever for the 4th time in 5 days when the score is 6-1.
Unfathomably stupid.
It's stupid.
English

@bryce_spalding Why put Phillips in a 6-1 game? He's pitched 3 out of the past 4 days before this.
Why does he always do shit like this?
And, no, I don't think it's a small thing.
It's... idiotic.

@TedStarkey Game 4 was soul-crushing. Greg Smith SH goal midway through 3rd to give them 2-goal lead may have been my happiest moment as a Caps fan - for about 30 seconds, until they let the Rangers score right back on the PP.
Then Stevens of all people makes two abysmal plays and they lose
English

@JHS4949 1986 was the top one for me, that loss to the Rangers was probably the biggest missed opportunity of them all - particularly with the other results.
English

@HeyGingersaurus Three straight walks and the batter swings at the first pitch he sees. Thought we were the only team in MLB that did that.
English

Williamson manages to get out of the fifth allowing just one run. Got a big DP with runners on the corners to end the inning.
Top 6th 2-1 #Reds
English

If it was up to Rogie Vachon, he'd rather be between the pipes instead of sitting on the bench with a night off. #GoKingsGo #NHL

English

I don’t know what is so difficult about simply moving Elly and Sal up to 2-3 in the order. #Reds
English

@TJStats Hot-corner defense is maybe the most underrated aspect in all of baseball. If I'm a team out there I'm making an offer for Hayes. Reds looking to shake up their everyday lineup and he is a generational talent with the glove who just needs a bit of luck at the plate.
Verdict: BUY
