1/ We hope this isn't another COVID. It looks less contagious. But the Admin needs to take it more seriously and address some big holes they created in our pandemic response system.

Talk about totally dismissing the importance or lack there of an American president. President Xi is not at the airport when Trump arrives. That’s awesome. You have to truly respect a president to be waiting their arrival to shake their hand. No one respects Trump, but Xi says it out loud with his actions. Kudos to him.

Here is what will happen with Trump’s meeting in China..
1. Trump announces a deal with China. The details will be murky, and unclear, but he will say we won.
2. MAGA influencers celebrate. They flood our timelines with Trump’s propaganda.
3. The details of the deal come out, they are not what Trump said but the lie has already taken over the truth.
4. MAGA influencers will quietly move the goal post, and not acknowledge that we got lubed up, and bent over by China.
5. They quietly stop talking about the trip.

The hope now, is what the hope has always been in this Trump era - that having the absolute worst of us in the White House will finally wake up enough of the American people to do what’s necessary to fix our broken & corrupt political system, heal the ugly political divide, and preserve our democracy. Politicians can’t fix what’s broken. Only the American people can. Trump is the final warning.
