Sources: Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. is exercising his $5.39 million player option for the 2026-27 season. The 25-year-old guard will remain a key piece for the Bucks in the post Giannis Antetokounmpo era.

Just a hunch: Jaylen Brown might end up a Hornet. Due to the LaMelo trade, they created a $40M trade exception (the largest in history) and got Naz Reid in return. Jaylen Brown’s contract fits that perfectly.

That is a heck of a deal for the Hornets with the Timberwolves, from Naz Reid to the draft capital to the cap savings. Just a shame that LaMelo was in Charlotte long enough to get in one last cheap shot on Adebayo.

A split faction of Milwaukee’s decision makers, sources say, is deciding between Boston’s package for Giannis Antetokounmpo built around Jaylen Brown — where the Bucks also hold particular Hugo Gonzales interest, as @TheSteinLine reported last night — plus limited draft capital, compared to Miami’s offer of younger pieces — featuring Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez — and multiple first-round picks. The established MVP candidate versus greater overall value is what this whole saga has boiled down to one day before the NBA Draft. Our latest here: tinyurl.com/49pzfpfs

I’m just gonna say…. I would be absolutely shocked if Hugo was/is thrown into any Giannis trade offer. The entire organization is all-in on him - Stevens prob the most. They could not be higher on him. I genuinely don’t believe he’s involved. Guess we’ll see.

Here's the question: If the Bucks trade for a player who is really good (say, Jaylen Brown) but not as good as Giannis, and they were under .500 with Giannis playing last season, is the player who is not as good as Giannis (but making almost as much) going to be happy there?

Sam Amick questions if Giannis and his camp will apply more pressure on the Bucks the closer we get to the draft: “As we get closer to draft day, I’m wondering if Giannis and his camp, are they going to step on the scale even more than they have to this point. Right now, it’s kind of a loose framing of, there’s a couple of teams he’d be comfortable with being there long term. Miami and Boston definitely appear to be two of them. Teams are begging the Bucks to kind of tell them ‘if a deal looks like this, then you have a deal.’ It’s like I don’t want to put somebody on the table until you tell me you’ll take them off the table. That is where communication wise, those type of interactions haven’t really happen.” (Via @sam_amick)

@TiWindisch They have 4 tradeable FRP… what if they can turn White (via a team like OKC) into 2-3 FRP? What if via multiple teams (I know complicated) they can turn white into Ja and a FRP? Ja and 4-5 FRP?
