An estimated 400 teens are running amok downtown on State St. and Michigan Ave. It's an absolute mess. CPD contact tells us some teens have mace and tasers. Teens were tasing people. One teen has been hospitalized. Multiple arrests, multiple fights. Tact Teams sent downtown. A curfew was imposed at 10 p.m. This is probably just an "isolated incident," and we urge you not to demonize unruly teens.

After my daughter Katie was killed by an illegal immigrant who should never have been here, I was told these policies are compassionate and moral. I have sat in a multi-million dollar home in Manhattan Beach. Beautiful cars outside. Big career on television. Money in the bank. Fame. Every trophy the world says you need. And I was absolutely miserable. I knew I was empty. And I knew I was stuck. I was enslaved to the things I thought would satisfy me. I had read the Bible cover to cover multiple times. I could quote it. I could teach it. I could debate anyone in a room about theology. But I did not know God. I knew about God. There is a chasm between those two things. When the Lord saved me, everything changed. Not because my circumstances got easier. They got harder. Bank accounts dried up. My reputation was attacked. I was embarrassed to walk into a mall. But for the first time in my life, I had peace. Not the peace the world gives. The peace that makes no sense when everything around you is falling apart. I am not sharing this to impress anyone. I am sharing this because there are men reading this right now who have the career, the house, the income, and the respect. And you are empty. You know something is off. You know the trophies are not enough. Stop running. The answer is not another deal, another title, or another achievement. The answer is submitting your life to Jesus. What does that mean? It means living according to His Word, not your preferences. (Ps. 1) It means confessing your sins to a faithful Father. (1 Jn. 1:9)  It means submitting to faithful pastors who will preach and teach God’s Word. (Heb 13:17) It means forsaking the world, and living for Christ. (Matthew 6:24) Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

This 7 year old little girl Jaslyn Adams was murdered by three gang members as revenge on her father from another gang. I posted about this when it happened to bring awareness to Chicago violence. The national media wasn’t interested. The five year anniversary is next month.

I am thankful to be alive. To live is Christ, to die is gain. What more can I say? Not only do I strive to live for Christ, but He is my life. Daily, hourly, each minute & every second, Christ is sovereign over all. He is the Preacher of good news, born of a Virgin, Crucified for my sin, Resurrected from the grave, Holy, eternal, all-powerful, perfect, righteous, the first & last, the beginning & end, the One and only. He is Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Creator of the cosmos & maker of the universe. He has formed us in the womb, set us apart and will use the Believer for His purpose and for His glory. There is no better place to be than to be with Jesus, to have fellowship with Him, what a blessing it is to be a Bible-believing Christian.

Another peaceful Sunday afternoon, getting ready for kids and grandkids to come over for dinner, when 3 sheriff’s come to our door! Another false report from our Muslim neighbors that are trying to make us prisoners in our own home. We were coming home from Costco several hours ago, they were parked 3 feet away from the curb and had the driver door wide open, and as we got closer they looked and didn’t close the door. John honked once to get him to close the door so we could get by. No words, no interaction. One honk so we could get into our driveway. 3 hours later, cops at our door! This is a horrible situation, and one that shouldn’t be happening in America!

Well said. Met in 2009, married 2010 & moved into a 300 sq ft shack. No vacations the first 10yrs due to student loans (that I brought to the marriage, she was debt free). Now- 3 kids, a home, occasional travel & most importantly a testimony to encourage others in similar situations of God’s grace, blessing and plan for the family. A Christ-centered marriage is the Key.

The “honeymoon phase” is one of the most harmful marriage myths. Young couples go into marriage expecting immediate bliss. Even worse, they believe that however happy they are in the first few years, that’s the happiest they’ll ever be. The truth is exactly the inverse. It’s hardest at the start. Anything worth doing is always going to be most difficult when you first start doing it. Gets better and better as you go. Stick with it. The real honeymoon comes later. You need to grow into it.

This is John Allen Chau. In 2018, he traveled to North Sentinel Island to share the gospel with one of the most isolated tribes on earth. He knew the risks. He wrote in his journal, “Lord, is this island Satan’s last stronghold?” The tribe killed him with arrows. He was 26 years old. He could have stayed safe. He chose obedience.

SENTENCED TO THREE LIFE TERMS: WHY WAS SERIAL CHILD MOLESTER DAVID FUNSTON GRANTED EARLY RELEASE? The people of Sacramento, and every parent across California, deserve answers. The California Parole Board has granted parole to David Allen Funston, a serial child molester who used candy and toys to lure children seven years old and younger. He was convicted of 16 counts of kidnapping and child molestation. Multiple young children were victimized, some as young as four years old. He was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison, along with three additional consecutive sentences of 25 years to life. A judge described him as “the monster parents fear the most.” Yet today, the parole board has determined he is suitable for release. How do they explain that to those children and their parents? How do they tell families that a predator of this nature is “no longer a risk”? Under California’s Elderly Parole Program, inmates over 50 are eligible for parole. He is 64. Age does not erase predatory behavior. It does not undo grooming. It does not restore stolen childhoods. Childhood sexual predators do not suddenly become safe because they turned 50; they cannot be rehabilitated. Most states exclude heinous crimes like this from elderly parole. California does not. Today, a survivor bravely spoke about what this decision means. Detective Rodriguez, who worked this case, knows firsthand what this man was capable of and how he was caught. The Elderly Parole Program was meant for those who no longer pose a danger. In cases like this, it fails. Our number one responsibility is to protect children. That should never be controversial or partisan. Protecting children is not rhetoric. It is common sense. Protect children first. Always.

And he did it without raising his voice once. That’s what made it devastating. While politicians spin numbers and dodge questions, this man came with receipts. A property tax promise made to win votes — then quietly broken. Crime statistics that look cleaner on spreadsheets than they feel on the streets where his neighbors actually live. A city carrying tens of billions in long-term debt while laying off the workers who keep Chicago running. Hundreds of millions in spending decisions never put to real public debate.
