@jenvanlaar Do you know what the typical sentence is for involuntary manslaughter in Ventura county? Do u know that involuntary manslaughter means no intent to kill? Or is your desire for outrage greater than your desire to overcome your ignorance?

I'm offering $50,000 rewards to anyone providing information that helps crack unsolved crimes in California. If you know something, it is your duty to come forward to give victims and their loved ones justice. Every case matters, every victim matters, and California is determined to secure accountability.

🚨DEVELOPING: Loay Alnaji has pled guilty to 1 count of involuntary manslaughter, 1 felony count of battery causing serious bodily injury in the death of Paul Kessler, w/serious felony enhancement and aggravating factors of weapons use and vulnerable victim for both counts. Alnaji, a Muslim community college professor in Ventura County, CA, killed Kessler, a Jewish man, during protests/counterprotests immediately following Hamas' October 7 attacks. Alnaji, a naturalized citizen from Jordan, was set to go to trial on May 14, but appeared this morning in Ventura County Superior Court to plead guilty to all charges. He faces up to four years in prison for each felony count, and will be sentenced in June. Prosecutors filed an amended information this morning immediately prior to the entry of Alnaji's guilty plea; I have requested a copy of that from the Ventura County DA's office.
