@JJChise @jenvanlaar I grew up in VC & have been a state prosecutor for 25 years. The triad on invol man is 2-3-4. Have never had an invol man case where probation was imposed. This case, hitting an old man hard enough that he cracked his head & died, was arguably implied malice murder.

Go read the article I wrote on it and yeah, I worked in criminal courtrooms for 20 years, so I'm very aware of how things work. Including the fact that the DA, a liberal Democrat, is very much AGAINST the proposed sentence. It's NOT the norm. Oh yeah, I'm from Ventura County. My kid was attending Moorpark College when that hate-filled man was teaching there. Step off.

I just laughed out loud... why, Governor? Why? When Loay Alnaji can kill a Jewish neighbor and be promised probation by Ventura County Superior Court Judge Derek Malan over the objections of the victims and the DA, is that justice? Why should we bother?

Loay Alnaji killed 69-year-old Jewish man Paul Kessler in November 2023. Today, he pled guilty. Alnaji, a naturalized citizen from Jordan, was set to go to trial on May 14th. The sentence he’s facing? 1 year in prison, 3 years of probation. Despite Alnaji posting pro-Hamas propaganda on his social media, Judge Derek Malan determined "two old guys had a dispute and and an accident happened." Defense attorney Ron Bamieh stated "Mr. Alnaji is a peaceful man and he has always been a peaceful man." Most peaceful men do not promote Hamas on their social media pages, like Loay Alnaji did. We have no words for this judicial lunacy coming out of California.

‼️What's going on here? Something isn't adding up. At least one outlet is reporting that Judge Derek Malan sentenced Alnaji to 1 year in prison and 3 years probation, but according to the court docket there was no sentencing today. That will be in June. Alnaji's attorney, Ron Bamieh, said he had "several meetings" with Malan that resulted in Malan - the judge - extending this offer of probation if Alnaji would enter a straight plea. (Meaning, guilty to all of the charges.) It's also being reported that both the DA's office and Kessler's family objected to a probationary sentence, and in speaking to a witness who was with Kessler that day and the prior weekend (where there was also a run-in with Alnaji and his Islamic Society of Simi Valley buddies), that was confirmed. I have requested comment from Bamieh and the DA's office and requested the documents from today's hearing and will be following up. Warriors have now had 3 different players suffer knee injuries: Jimmy Butler, Steph Curry, and Moses Moody. Obviously, two of them have been the most devastating kind. Do you really think this is a coincidence? Steve Kerr has been abusing tiny lineups that only tanking teams use (because it's easy to lose games when you have no bigs on the floor) for the last 3 years, and Warriors in that span have been an utter joke. He put an aging 36-year-old Jimmy Butler at PF and forced him to guard a weight class up nonstop. He also did this to Wiggins, Kuminga, and GPII - none of them are PFs. He put Moses Moody, a SG, at SF and PF, constantly forcing him out of position. It is not a coincidence that 3 key players have now suffered major knee issues, including Curry who's been out for 2 months. Do you really think all of this is a coincidence? What, you don't believe in wear and tear, or that it's tougher on the body to constantly play basketball against players who are a weight class or two above you? Especially for older players? What are you, dumb? What other team has suffered these types of injuries in the same season?  Kerr is supposed to maximize the team by putting players in position to succeed.  Instead, he fraudulently told the world that basketball is positionless - only a fool would believe this. He's also destroying and shortening the career of Draymond by still forcing him to C, and using the tiniest 4G lineups in NBA history. I'm surprised he hasn't completely come apart yet, and he's openly stated he doesn't wanna play that position, but Kerr won't listen. You see how good Gui Santos is, he's been there all along, and Kerr was DNPing him who can actually play PF for a 4G lineup of Curry, Podz, Hield, GPII. This guy is a vile criminal who is not only badly hurting the results of the team, he's also jeopardizing the livelihood of these players who give it their all and put their bodies on the line every night, something this buffoon Kerr has zero respect for. Warriors have grossly underachieved due to these clown decisions, and Kerr cares more about his personal feelings and opinions than what's best for the team and franchise. This is not how a leader behaves, a leader makes tough decisions that optimizes odds of winning. He is a narcissist and in my eyes, a criminal. Joe Lacob must let this POS walk before he does any further damage. I've had it.
