So, lemme get this straight. We got kids jumping 4 places in 4 years with no transfer rules and Detroit Mercy gets hit with a postseason ban for APR??? C'mon, what in the HELL are we doing. You can't enforce the Academic Progress Report right now with the chaos that's allowed.

Seeing all these negative posts about AAU basketball is so sad man. AAU changed my life! There are tons of great coaches and mentors out there still helping kids daily through their programs. Shout out to everyone making a difference!

If you’re on a music scholarship, and sign a recording contract, do they talk about taking away your music scholarship? No, because my little brother did it. Left school to go on a 35 city tour, and came back and finished with no problem lol

According to Jay Bilas NCAA athletes are professionals and "adults," not developing young adults (as @SethOnHoops correctly pointed out yesterday). Well, adults pay for their own lives. They pay for things like housing, food, and school tuition. How about Jay endorses the growing sentiment of eliminating "free ride" athletic scholarships for any "adult" who receives NIL or rev-share that exceeds the university's cost of attendance? If you get paid a million dollars, you should have to pay for school. Simple. That would be the "adult" thing to do.

For decades, nobody pushed for federal regulation while athletes generated billions without compensation. The urgency to "save college sports" only arrived once players started seeing some of the money, and that framing tells you a lot.
Mit Winter@WinterSportsLaw

As @JayBilas correctly points out, there’s a lot of hypocrisy in college athletics right now. It’s only when athletes begin to get paid that it’s necessary to have a federal law to “save college sports.”

Illinois’ Kylan Boswell emotionally opened up about the harassment from Arizona fans before transferring 3 years ago: “I go on Twitter, the sh*t people say about me, that sticks with you.” Good for him speaking up. This issue isn’t unique to Kentucky.
