I’ve been in the Deep South they are huge on manners and how you conduct yourself. Always friendly polite and always asking you if you need anything. I’ve never gone into any establishment that’s not friendly to everyone. They just hold a higher standard in manners. Love that about the southern areas of America.

@0hour1 When I lived down there, walking into a store and *not* spending 5 or 10 minutes talking about fishing, the weather, etc, was considered rude

@0hour1 They also fuck their cousins and drink so much mt dew they have to bus in pro-bono dentists. They also have the highest crime rate and rank lowest across the board in education. They also rely on northern states for most of their resources and even funding.

@justuseKsharps @ProvacativePrag @Behrani @cb_doge 20 awards in 30 years and 8 of them are since 2019 under Rubin, but this has been in effect for about 6 years & it seems like everyone thinks it will ruin everything now! Looking at awards since 2019, it doesn't feel like feel good distribution at all

@JJMedic69 @ProvacativePrag @Behrani @cb_doge Blacks are represented near their participation rate in Hollywood for nominations for the last 30+ years. Only 4 acting awards are given out each year. Forcing feel good distribution would undermine the awards credibility.

David Rubin served as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 2019 to 2022. In 2020, under his leadership, the Academy launched the “Representation and Inclusion Standards” for Best Picture eligibility. These rules, still in effect, require films to meet at least 2 of 4 diversity criteria involving race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability in on-screen roles, creative leadership, or crew. Rubin publicly backed the changes and helped appoint the task force co-led by producer DeVon Franklin. He shifted the Oscars from “best movie wins” to race/gender engineering. A film can now be ineligible for the top prize purely for failing demographic quotas, regardless of quality or audience impact. Instead of focusing purely on talent and storytelling, the Academy under Rubin institutionalized identity preferences. Oscars prestige and viewership have tanked. Many see it as performative politics over art. Classics with non-diverse casts would be disqualified. He helped install the DEI machinery that turned awards into checkboxes and accelerated Hollywood’s quality decline.

@justuseKsharps @ProvacativePrag @Behrani @cb_doge It took 30+ years for the first black artist to win the best actor oscar and then another 38 years for the next one! Only 12 Back Artists won acting Oscar's before 2002! Halle Berry is the only female black artist to win Best Actress EVER in 2002! That recognition was great!

Imagine being able to do that. Trump could never do this. He’s too incompetent. Agree or not? 💬⬇️🤔

@IrishTalian @Behrani @cb_doge At least audiences got to see John Wayne as Genghis Khan, blackface in popular films like "Holiday Inn" and Mickey Rooney as a Japanese guy!

@IrishTalian @Behrani @cb_doge Yea, it was so great that it took 30+ years for the first African American to be nominated for Best Actor! And after Sydney Poitier won in 1964, it ONLY took 38 more years for Denzel to win the second! From 1929 to 2002 - Two Best Actor awards!

@Behrani @cb_doge The difference is having the word “force” in any of it. Nobody was forcing Hollywood to not use minorities. Learn the difference commie, pinko bastard.

@WVHussar @Behrani @cb_doge How about the example of all the roles that white actors have played people of color in the last 20 years?

@GKabanuk @cb_doge Yea, you should watch things like Johnny Depp as Tonto, Christian Bale as Moses and Prince of Persia with Jake Gyllenhaal. Maybe John Wayne as Genghis Khan back in the day

@cb_doge I recently watched a few woke sequels with grandkids. They were pathetic. Why steal a story just to ruin it? Doesn’t the woke crowd have any creative people who can write a decent story line with a script that decent actors would want to read?
