Once you experience, at least once in your life, being very right when the rest of the world was telling you that you were very wrong, then you become immune to groupthink and herd mentality, as you've learned firsthand that most people don't know what they are talking about:

The number one reason patients leave any #MedicalCannabis clinic is to access a larger range, or better pricing. Yet we still see clinics trying to launch with a few dozen high-profit products on a restrictive formulary, then wondering why they have little uptake, and why so many of those patients then leave. This is especially bad for the shadier clinics practising 'prescription direction' and trying to avoid letting their patients choose their preferred pharmacy, something becoming increasingly more important to patients as we see more pharmacies undercutting RRP. There's 499 CBPMs currently available to patients of all clinics, as tracked by us, with 375 being flower products. How many clinics can you access all legal CBPMs from? Just 3-4 to the best of our knowledge, and mostly more expensive or single doctor-led. It's a major conflict of interest when clinics are trying to lock patients into having to use their owned pharmacy, with their commercial formulary, so they can profit from dispensing the very meds they prescribe. It's also a disgusting conflict of interest for doctors, whom are meant to properly consider all potential treatments/medications impartially, and not just those most profitable for their contracted company. The most common excuse is "we can't get the info on it" or "it's not on my formulary", where the former is normally lazy bullshittery, and the latter a commercial decision affecting prescribing decisions where it patently shouldn't - regulations are clear on having to declare conflicts of interest when prescribing. At least we've moved past the days where doctors lied to patients that our own availability information was wrong. The greatest scandal in UK #MedicalCannabis is clinics trying to act as sales funnels for single pharmacies, often even selling their own-brand products, with intentionally limited ranges outside of it, to maximise profits. Unbiased healthcare with all treatment options considered must become the first priority. Clinics aren't sales funnels, doctors aren't salesmen. We just hope, in the long-run, patients make their own informed decisions to use clinics that do not try and restrict treatment options for their own commercial gain. Until industry regulatory oversight improves, patients can only vote with their wallets.

As someone who has been in the cannabis industry for 15 years and spent significant effort to sequence the 1st cannabis genome to establish quality standards in the field, I stopped engaging with Makis when I witnessed him push patients toward CBD providers I’ve never heard of nor had any legitimate lab testing (current CofAs) of the CBD oil he was endorsing for immunocompromised patients. I have personal experience with cancer and Cannabinoid sourcing for my Father. The Makis redirected company hosted many of his unverifiable ‘patient testimonies’ on their product pages suggestive of Makis getting royalties for the sales. He actively redirected people from providers that earned a 20 year reputation in the field servicing pediatric epilepsy cases to this sprout up company singing his praises. That’s when I realized he was over his skis on CBD but cloaked his QA/QC recklessness in the desperation of his alleged patients. Any critique is met with accusations of the critic being part of the anti-Makis shadowy cabal. Pure cult behavior. This doesn’t mean IVM/FenBen or CBD don’t work for various ailments. They do but they are not panaceas. Once you’re outside of the FDA system, QC is everything (in fact even the FDA fails a this) and he doesn’t give 2 shits about it. The sordid Makis history documented by @open_vaet has not been addressed by Makis. He’s just insulting and blocking everyone asking questions about it claiming he’s the victim of a grand conspiracy. Many of us are targets of such harassment but you cant let this be a camouflage for bad actors. Never take his advice on cannabinoids. I don’t have any investments in companies that sell cannabinoids and I don’t sell medical coaching about it. If you want trusted advice in that space I’d point you the Society For Cannabis Clinicians. Project CBD is a good resource run by Martin Lee. Trusted physicians in that space are Dr Bonni Goldstein Dr. Dustin Sulak

William Makis pushed the COVID vaccines until he saw there was more money for him in "fighting for medical freedom." Up until late 2021, he was pushing boosters. Then suddenly, his tune changed. Here are some of the posts he deleted. 🧵

@Kevin_McKernan Cheers Kevin. I tried to get my cousin to go keto as well as look at the repurposed drugs as they seem to follow the same mechanism (cutting off glucose / glutamine) but like most in his position he deferred to authority and their treatment, which included immunotherapy late on.

It’s very low risk to try. CBD is non toxic and very protective with of the damage from concurrent chemo but consult a doctor about immunotherapies. In those cases cannabinoids can blunt the check point inhibitors. Cancer isn’t one disease and each case needs to be understood in regards to it etiology. Is it a Warburg effect? Glucose dependent etc.

@Kevin_McKernan Cheers, my question wasn’t really about him though, I’m more interested in if they work or not as I lost a cousin to cancer recently who went down the cut poison and burn horror protocol, just wondered your thoughts on those compounds as they’ve gained a lot of traction.

Again, My concerns about Makis have nothing to do with the credibility of the treatments he’s selling. I think IVM/FenBen/CBD are all very powerful therapeutics. I was appalled at how he handled Scott Adam’s complaints about his service and lines up with my own experience of his recklessness in the Cannabinoid space and the sordid expose from @open_vaet His meteoric rise in followers for voicing the same topics we all get banned for suggest he’s being allowed to gain a following so they can detonate him later and take down all medical freedom experts that associated with him.

Still one of the most extraordinary experiences I’ve ever had. I found a beached dolphin at 5:30 in the morning while I was alone on a beach in Costa Rica. It was surrounded by about six buzzards, ready to peck at its eyes, and it was squeaking and crying for help. For anyone who wants to call me weak or whatever, I’d love to see you move a slippery 275-pound animal while panicking for its life. A crazy, extraordinary, life-changing experience. This dolphin was communicating with me the entire time. I’m not sure how to explain it, but I knew it was grateful for my presence and grateful that I saved it from the buzzards. An insane, real-life experience I’ll never forget. 🐬 🙏 📹danielbarousse

I’ve just been given Netflix ( I know I’m late to getting it ) by VirginMedia. The first show I’ve started watching is Breaking Bad ( I know I’m late to watching that too ) My question is should I stick with it as I’m 3 shows in and not sure what all the fuss was about yet?

I tell people they must resist digital ID, that we must NOT accept ID checks just to get online/use social media and the clever clogs all sneer: “don’t you know they already have your data? That you’re already tracked? Etc etc…” Yeah, I do know. But accepting to hand over your ID just to get online is a whole new ball game. You do that and you’re basically handing over full control. Why the hell would you do that when FAR too much of our info is already available? It’s not about what they already know (and use) because that ship has sailed, it’s about not giving them the capability to allow - or deny - you the ability to just - simply - log on. It’s time we reclaimed some power. Some dignity, even. We surrendered far too much because: we didn’t know, because we trusted, because we were sooo eager to use all that technology. Time to think - and think hard - about what we want our future to be like.

Manchester Police arresting YouTubers yesterday proves we don't have free speech. Won't mention who as it's up to them to tell it. These guys document the failures of Andy Burnham, council & the police. They don't like people highlighting their failures. Feels a bit 1984 to me.

Romelu Lukaku’s two seasons at United are massively underrated just because he bulked up a bit and Jose Mourinho went off the boil in 18/19. 54 goal contributions across both, including 36 in his first. That was a striker, man.
